You mean CO-player of the week, heck he wasn't even the solo offensive player of the week, he SPLIT it with Forte. So I guess that means Forte is now better than AP and CJ right, at least by your logic since Hill being player of the week once puts him in the same league as Brady.
Anyway, this whole thread is pretty much a done deal since its pretty much been determined Stafford will be the starter after the bye week.

Do you realize that Hill couldn't beat out JT O'Sullivan and Alex Smith? If Shaun Hill is so great, why is Alex Smith starting in San Francisco? Why would the 49ers trade him for a 7th rounder? Why was he benched last year? None of this stuff happened to Tom Brady. The only similarity was that they both got to start because the previous starter got injured. This argument is completely ridiculous. Hey Max Hall won a game in Arizona, is he the next Tom Brady? Insane.

Just think about this, Tom Brady came to NFL through scout combine and visited some teams. He didn't impress anyone, but the Patriots to draft him. Did you see Tom Brady's body during the physical exam? He's skinny as and his arms were like a pair of pencils. He couldn't throw a deep bomb during his rookie year. Drew Bledsoe was more physical talent than Tom Brady, but Bledsoe got a life threatening injury. When Tom Brady took over, he just obeyed to the coach for good.
So, Shaun Hill is the same thing. He passed through many teams, but he's still the same game manager like what Tom Brady once was. Shaun Hill looks like an ugly quarterback, but he still manages to make good decisions and keep the game close to win. Drew Stanton can't do that.

Well, that's an achievement. If Matt Stafford is so wow, he should have at least earned the Player of the Week trophy. Shaun Hill is a back up to Stafford and earned the Player of the Week trophy, which is pretty comical.
You're overstating on my logic. Nice try to bash, but my logic isn't intending Shaun Hill is to be the top QB in the league. Who is Tom Brady? He's now a future HOF quarterback. However, who is Tom Brady when he was drafted and back up to the 1st round Drew Bledsoe, who has the hype to be the second coming of Marino/Elways? What had made Tom Brady succeeded while being the back up to Bledsoe?
Shaun Hill is 30 years old, but I don't believe in the age discrimination. He still can follow Tom Brady's step and becomes a Super Bowl winner.

That comes from the person, who doesn't understand the situation with Mike Martz's quarterback and the 49ers' quarterback issues. It's a lot more story than your illogical quick judgement on reading two to three sentences story at rotoworld.com. JT O'Sullivan was the starter, because he was the one who could throw a deep bomb. It was Mike Martz's personal decision to have JTO as the starting QB. Martz still likes Hill, too. He hasn't said anything's negative about Shaun Hill. When Coach Singletary benched JTO for his turnover habits, Shaun Hill took over and had best winning records (9-2) for a 49ers QB in a long time.
However, there were so many stubborn 49ers fans and GM Scot Mcloughan, who love to keep their tongue stick in Alex Smith's rectum. They still want to give Alex Smith the second chance. It was Scot McCloughan who traded Shaun Hill for 7th round pick to prevent the concerning of Shaun Hill will be the starter again in 2010 season. He just wants Alex Smith to be the 49ers quarterback for the fans and himself. He got fired in the next week after trading Shaun Hill away.
I still remember that game where Shaun Hill hasn't lost a game at home. After winning 7 games straight at home, he faced against Falcons and had his first bad game. It was the only one bad game, the fans in the game kept booing and crying for Alex Smith. Hill got benched during the half time to bring Alex Smith for the fans to stay in the game. NFL is all about money and their investment in their players. Alex Smith is still garbage, but the 49ers wouldn't give up giving him infinite chance.
Shaun Hill is now at the different team with a 2nd year quarterback. I still like to watch if the Lions GM or owner says "Who gives a damn? Let's start Shaun Hill and have Stafford bench for 3 years." Then, that will be a very interesting team, like the Patriots.
Your point of Max Hall is completely irrelevant.

I've been a fan all my life, and don't just rely on rotoworld for my football knowledge. Clearly you have a problem understanding Martz's offense. Remember his most famed quarterback? Some guy named Kurt Warner? Warner didn't have a strong arm, and Martz couldn't have cared less. The Rams did their damage with quick slants, letting Bruce, Holt and Hakim do a lot of the work. Hill was benched because he was ineffective. He lost his job in San Francisco because the coaching staff didn't have faith that he could be a consistent winner.
You know what they would have done if they thought that Hill was a star?
THEY WOULD HAVE KEPT HIM.
It has nothing to do with the fans wanting to see Alex Smith. I don't know any 49er fan that really pines over Smith.
Here's what's going to happen:
Stafford takes the rest of the snaps, because he's a FRANCHISE QB. If you need evidence:
Shaun Hill will continue to back him up, then maybe will go to another team. He may get some spot work here and there, but that will be about it.
I feel bad, actually. I feel like I've just been bashing the crap out of the guy, and it's not that I dislike him. He's an okay QB, and seems like a class act. I just think that calling this guy Brady-like is beyond ridiculous. I'm not a Lions or Niners fan, just a football fan who has a good idea of the game.
Edit: I forgot to address what I've bolded in your quote. This will never ever ever ever ever ever ever happen. Stafford is way too talented to ever let it. If the Lions would do that, they'd be playing to empty stadiums, because every fan would abandon that team. Except you, perhaps.
I'm beginning to think you may actually BE Shaun Hill.

You are right about Martz's quarterback. However, I got information about the reason why JTO got selected is right coming from Martz. Martz was the one who said the ability of deep ball throwing is the main reason to start JTO over Alex Smith (slow learning curve) and Shaun Hill (very high skill, but not strong arm for deep ball) during the first few weeks of the season. However, JTO got beneched for Shaun Hill after JTO gave the games away. Shaun Hill improved the 49ers' winning record at the end. However, like I said, the fans and McCloughan are still being stubborn about giving Alex Smith a chance.
The trade of Shaun Hill to the Lions was the reason to push Alex Smith's confidence that he is the 49ers quarterback - no more competition. Right now, 2010 season, The 49ers are still doomed with Alex Smith starting, 1-5. Many 49ers fans still concur that the 49ers would've probably 4-2 or 5-1 with Shaun Hill starting.
You're still ignoring my point about the 49ers fans and Scot McCloughen always want Alex Smith to be the man of the 49ers' team. It is not from my view or opinion, but that is what actually happened. Your illogical opinion is too bias and lack strong evidence. I enjoy the fact that you're still underestimating Shaun Hill.

The bottom line is that a team wants to win, correct? You fill seats in the stadium by providing a winning team on the field. If the Niners thought Hill was the answer, he'd still be playing there. You try to put him on this pedestal like he's the next Warner or Brady, but there's one fundamental difference:
When Warner and Brady were given the chance to start, they simply played so well that the job COULDN'T be taken from them. If Shaun Hill were like either one of them, he'd be in San Francisco, Alex Smith would be working at an In N Out Burger (actually, he's super smart, so he probably wouldn't), and the Niners would be playoff contenders. Your excuse that it was the politics of football is exactly that, an excuse.
And my "illogical" opinion is this: If a quarterback is good enough, he'll be a consistent NFL starter. If he's not, he'll be a backup. Doesn't seem like too much of a logical stretch to me. And if my opinion is so illogical, then everyone in this thread's opinion is illogical, because you're the lone person who's been championing Shaun Hill.
I've watched Shaun Hill play a pretty good bit, and truly, he reminds me far more of Trent Dilfer than Tom Brady. Hill is a good game manager, for the most part, he won't make really egregious mistakes. But a Brady or Warner, he is not.
Oh, and what exactly was so inconsistent in my previous post. Enlighten me.
