you do realize that Crosby is right even with Ovechkin as far as points for a career but also over 2 years younger than Ovy right? If anyone between the two it would be Crosby

Wow, no I didn't realize that. It's a good thing I was talking about "goals" and not "points." Ovechkin has averaged around 18 goals per season more than Crosby in their first full 5 seasons each. Is Crosby having a great season - yes. Will he finish with more career points than Ovy - quite possibly though I still Ovy will finish with more goals.

I think soon that will be out of his reach as we are now seeing that Crosby is turning into a shooter and goal scorer. He won the Richard trophy last year and is in the lead again this year, actually has more than double the goals Ovy has so far

Ovechkin finished one goal behind him last year while missing 10 games (Crosby missed 1) but yes that is part of the game. Ovechkin will pick it up at some point.

It seems like Crosby wants it more than Ovi does. Crosby works probably 100% harder than Ovi does on his game during the season and maybe more importantly during the off season. While Crosby is at the gym running and working out Ovi is probably on a boat down south drinking beer. Like a few years ago when Crosby was losing a lot of faceoffs, he worked on it and is probably now one of the best faceoff people in the league who can actually be 100% in faceoffs in some game. Crosby's legs are like tree trunks, I know a guy who worked at Duggers, where Crosby gets his suits (they are like $3000+ suits btw) and he said Crosby actually has to get his suits tailored because his legs are so out of proportion to his height its crazy. I am in no way a fan of Crosby, but I have to respect his work ethic towards hockey. I don't think Ovi will come close to Gretzky and I don't think Crosby will either.

sorry but ovi is garbage compared to crosby. he is all flash, no actual skill. crosby outscored him taking 70 less shots lmfao, so crosby didn't even have to try to beat ovi and ovi had to try his butt off.

o yeah look at this year ovi has more shots and crosby has more then double the goal total, there is no more comparing the two. ovechkin will never ever outscore crosby again (as long as crosby plays shooter)

ovechkin has a better shot of breaking gretzky career totals

    LMAO

what is wrong with you people today? do you not see how horrible the goalies were backk then? the garbage defensive game, which also lacked the physicality of today? players are also much stronger and in much better shape.don't bring up hooking/holding lmao these are grown men.

not to mention gretzky played on an all star team and very stacked teams for the majority of his career. and no one ever tried to hammer gretz like crosby

crosby plays with dupuis and kunitz LOL

the elite players today get 100 points on average. the elite players back then were getting 130 points every year.

and by the way we wont see a crosby or ovechkin for another 10-15 years at least,

maybe even more for crosby because he is so well rounded and showing signs of hitting an unimaginable prime.

    .................................................

    Wrong, Wrong, and Wrong.

The best NHL goaltenders that you will ever hear about 100 years from now are all retired, or dead except Brodeur.

GAA in the 50's, 60's and early 70's was miniscule compared to today. Penalty minutes are way down among Power Forwards. Power forwards got a Gordie Howe Hat Trick every 3rd game in the old days.

    Physicality? Today? Get a grip.

LOL no actually instead of looking at numbers look at how bad hockey players were in general. the goalies were absolute garbage that's easy to see. and the players were just as bad lmao. look at all the goals that were scored, most are garbage goals by today's standards.it's way harder to be a goalie today because the skill level of players in general is off the charts. and the best goalies are roy broduer hasek sawchuk and a few others.

players were just horrible back then, just horrible. lol the juniors of today is better then those leagues

I hate Crosby... but I totally respect his skill. He's gifted.
