First Panini Limited Shield pulled
A guy on HI pulled it:

It's sad to see these arent even autographed. UD started to overproduce Shields in last years Cup and now that Panini produces them as well, its a matter of time before most sell for under $200.
What do you guys think?

If it's a 1 of 1 card it should have an auto imo. The plates I get not having an auto, but to have a 1 of 1 and have a shield and no auto..., meh....

Some of these Limited cards really look ridiculous with the big space where there should be an auto. I know some have parallel versions that are auto'd but the ones that aren't just look plain ugly (especially Limited Trios).
This card really doesn't make any sense. If your going to have an Ovechkin shield on a card at least slap a sticker under it in the big glaring space, or make up a different design for cards like this instead of using the stock design.

a Toews is up on ebay with a BIN of $500 and isn't getting bit. if it were an UD auto shield, it never would've lasted at $500. Panini doing shields is one thing. Panini doing shields with parallels is going to kill the market. and i highly doubt Limited is the only product they're going to be in either.

We LOVE it, now there is more of them to chase!
I don't give a rats arse about a market, we collect for fun, not investment.
If it were for a return on our money, we'd collect Crosby.
So for us:
More shields = Hooray!

You know whats really sick about that Ovechkin? I can tell by looking at it that is is from a 2005-06 rookie year gamer.
So hate all you want, that is still an incredible card!

Im with Barrie on this. Collecting is fun for me and the more cool cards out there the better. I know lots of people do it for the money and thats fine to, to each his own.

Not necessarily. 2006-07 Caps jerseys were the old style as well so it could have very well came from his 2nd year.
Definitely an incredible card, I just wish there was a little more effort into one of the best possible pulls in the product. Center the swatch window and I'd have nothing to complain about. We rag on Upper Deck and ITG all the time for the same things so there is nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism for Panini.
