How did the second highest bidder even know that the card was available? I don't think he has anyway of knowing unless he asked you directly, or knew the high bidder.

Some people need their heads examined. I would have told that guy to hit the road.

I wonder... is it possible that the guy who was 2nd bidder was the same guy (different account) who placed the high (phony bid)? Suppose I want to buy a $1000 card; I bid $200, then I place a phony bid for $1,500 using a dummy account. The $1,500 bid chases away all other serious bidders, so my $200 remains the 2nd highest bid. Once the auction is over the "high bidder" disappears and I demand that my next highest bid ($200) be honored.
Not saying that's what happened...just thinking out loud.Hidden Content

The only way that theory works is if someone bids it up to 1500. The bid doesn't jump to 1500 from 200.Last edited by sjw241; 12-29-2010 at 02:32 PM.
