Bottom line is no one in the Central has pitching that's way better than anyone else's. And given that fact, the thing that separates the teams is offense. You even said it yourself that the Tigers are clearly #3 in terms of offense behind Minnesota and Chicago.

In essence, you're agreeing with me that the Tigers are the 3rd best team in the Central.

I'm hoping they do well enough that Dambrowski/Leyland don't call up Jacob Turner though..

I feel the same way, but it seems that most pitchers jump from Erie to Detroit. I would hope that Oliver would be there first choice for a call up, unless of course he gets destroyed in Toledo.

I disagree with the pitching comment. I'd take the Tigers pitching over the other two, which is what I think seperates them. They aren't gobs better or anything, but I think the Tigers backend of the bullpen is the best of the 3 (which will matter) I haven't paid attention to Chicago's middle relief or Minnesota's middle relief, so i'd have to check and see how good/bad they've been..I think each of the 3's backend of the rotation isn't great, but I refuse to say 'this player is gonna be garbage' based on 2 starts..Need a larger sample size..

We'll just have to wait and see though I suppose..

Yep, I honestly don't think he's ready, Rod & Mario said pregame today he's in the minors working on his other pitches (changeup and slider i think?) Can't bring him up if he only has one pitch..I'd rather see Oliver as well who's looked solid in Toledo thus far..I think sadly Turner is the 2nd option, we can only hope he turns into a Verlaner more so than an Andrew Miller if he gets called up early..

If he develops properly, him, Verlander, Scherzer would be an amazing 1-2-3

EDIT: have you heard anything on Casey Crosby? I know he was hurt last year but havent heard anything else.

Great win today, another walkoff! Looks like Scherzer pitched alright, and the offense got the hits when they needed to. Off to the West coast, atleast the Tigers avoid King Felix this time

Tigers line up dont look so bad to me.I believe 10 or 12 runs in the last 2 games against a team that was 9-1,who knows how many hits.

I also believe the top of texas line up the first 3 hitters were just batting over .100,had to been there pitching why they were 9-1.And we were hitting fairly well.Hopefully they can keep it going

8 runs over the past two games isn't great...

Gonna be alot of low scoring games, gonna need the pitching to be on the top of their games, because Oakland can pitch and pitch well
