6 if I'm not mistaken.
The big question for me is, why was Modano a scratch? Yeah he didn't have a great year but he's got the experience and is extremely valuable.

I don't know if we watched the same Modano this year but he is a liability on the ice, experience or not. I'd rather see Drew Miller get the 6-10 minutes a game, go out there, work his you know what off, and put up some points(1 assist last night?). The thing I love about Detriot is they aren't afraid to play the younger guys in the playoffs(i.e. Helm, Ericsson, Abdelkader) and it has paid off in the past. IMO Helm was the one that kept that game tied in the first with the flurry of penalties with his PK effort.

True. Modano has not had a good year, but he is notoriously good in the playoffs and its going to be his last year. I wish Modano was a defenseman just for the excuse to bench Ericsson.

Modano would be nice to see out there even if it were on defense. But give Big Burt credit for getting under Klesla's skin. It was nice to see a little feist out on the ice last night.

For sure, that was the turning point of the game for the Wings.

If Howard wasn't playing like Jesus in the 1st and an amazingly strong PK by the Wings, we would have won that game hands down.

As a Wings fan I have a feeling that Phoenix may steal one at the Joe Saturday. Just call it a feeling.

It really depends on which team decides to show up. If we play like we did against Chicago in the last game and periods 2 & 3 last night, I doubt PHO will win, especially at home. Another huge factor is whether Zetterberg plays or not. If he does are D gets an instant upgrade and we get our top point-scorer back.

Pavel Datsyuk = best player in the NHL. Holy crap...he never ceases to amaze me.
