    Help me treat myself

    Hey guys,

I am about to complete what is, in my mind, a major life event (finishing the hardest year of medical school, the 2nd year). I have been working hard like a dog (hard to believe with all the graphing I've been doing I know, but I have been), and so I decided something.

I never send to guys TTM that have a fee, I really just like getting my autos for free both IP and TTM (I think that's part of the fun for me- getting something of value for free).

Anyways, since this is in my mind a special occasion, I decided that I want to send to 1 guy with a fee to treat myself. So I am asking you all, if you could only send to 1 guy with a fee, who would it be?

    Some criteria:

    -Baseball or Football only please
-Fee in the neighborhood of 10-20 dollars (plus or minus) for cards
    -Ideally a hall of famer
-Ideally a Philly Athlete (but I am flexible on this point)

    All opinions welcome!

I'd say Bart Starr. He'll sign for $15-$20.

i'd also go with starr, he has a great looking sig. 2 time super bowl mvp + hall of famer for $20! send him a nice 8x10 then frame it and hang it up in your office. plus the money goes to charity

For a Philly HOF I would try Bunning if you haven't already, signs for free right now. Gossage & Fingers signs for $10, Niekro & Dawson for $20. If you could splurge, Carlton I believe signs cards for $29, baseballs for $39. This would keep with your Philly HOF theme.

Reggie Jackson. Not a lock, but I just got him on a ball for a $20 donation.

I would personally go on ebay and pick up 2 or 3 nice certified autographs. For example, there are a bunch of Dawson certified cards that sold in the low teens and dual auto with Jim Rice that sold for 19. No way you can get Rice and Dawson TTM for less than that. You can get tons of HOF guys with no risk on ebay for less than $20 a shot and in my opinion certified from the pack cards and much nicer or at least hold their value better.

If you're a Philly guy and insist on a TTM signer (rather than eBay certifieds), Carlton is the way to go. He's affordable and a great signer for on a ball for $25.
