There are certainly good people there at UD that are doing their best to make things as good as they can. Chris is one of them; Karvin is another. If everybody at UD was as good as those two, they probably wouldn't be in this mess. The hockey department, for sure, would be much better off. It is always surprising to me to see people proclaiming that they want Upper Deck gone - look through their buckets, be it traders or PC items; there's a lot of UD stuff in there. Is it just something that they're saying disingenuously or do they really mean it? I question whether those folks would be happy if they knew that there would be no more cards like that to come in the future. Be careful what you wish for, as the saying goes.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Well there the flip side to your quote how many have not been taken care of by customer service at UD. I seen folks complain about every company out there some that exist and some that gone belly up. In the end the company will earn their business for better or worse. Of course a monopoly does help them in that they do not have to produce in superior product, service, etc. as there is no other game in time.
I just wish more people that complaned about UD would boycott them. As I like to say actions are backed up by words but few back them up.
Hopefully, as Rich said above UD does better and does not go out of business.

this has been a great read through out, i have to agree i dont want to see UD go under, but they do have to start listening to their customers, how hard is it for them to see the unhappiness throught out, and just change things?? i mean they must have people in marketing conducting surveys to better the company

Couldn't resist posting a comment on the blog:
Interesting…
Since the NHL lockout Upper Deck has had the exclusive license to produce NHL/NHLPA cards, causing many companies to give up on hockey except for one (In The Game).
Don’t complain about exclusives when you’re doing the same thing yourselves, what Topps is doing with baseball you have been doing with hockey for years. Different tune when the shoe is on the other foot…

Mine is still there (12th Post). The comment is true, they are whining about something they have been doing for years.
