Giving me good idea for the Player collectors module I sarted to code.

Actually you can limit to 100 or more in serial with all base and insert. That does not stop you from getting lower print run but later you can lower it to 75 or 50.

I will add a goal page base on that idea in my player module. Set goal have a have and want list per goal and percentage of completion.

I collect all Montreal Canadien. Hidden Content for player, teams you collect

I disagree with the notion that it's impossible to get every one of a player's cards. I'm talking plates, 1/1's and the whole deal - IF that's what you want to do.
It will take a long time with any player (probably 20 years or more for most players with many 1/1's), and even then it will be extremely difficult, time consuming, and expensive. But not impossible.
For my PC there's only one satisfactory result : 100 percent. 1 of everything. If it takes me into retirement to do it, that's fine with me.
If you don't want to collect that way, that's fine, but 100 percent is possible, even today.

Not impossible but for most player it is impossible. You can't have all partick Roy 1/1, impossible.

Try a easy player, Ken Dryden (134 cards). Very low ammount of cards and only two one of one auto (16 1/1/ in all). Even with him I may never be able to accomplish this. I own only one 1/1 and never seen the other for sale. I know my card is not for sale either.

Someone may achive this for a while with a young player no one wants to collect much but that is it. Any popular player, don't even think about seing one person own all of them.

Both are certainly possibilities, which make it VERY VERY difficult to get to 100%, but most product gets broken eventually, and in particular most product released after 2005-06 the Cup will continue to drop in price, making it more likely for more perviously hidden 1/1's to slowly trickle out into the market.
As for cards in someone else's PC....Everyone has their price. I said it was not impossible. I didn't say it would be cheap.

One of the players i collect, Dan Blackburn, Had a criminally short Career from 01-05 before getting injured. I wasn't into collecting at the time, and have no idea if he was popular, but I know now that I only ever see the same 5-10 Blackburn cards on the bay (mostly the BAP auto.) That really takes the fun out of collecting him, and is making me consider dropping him from my list entirely.

I think there is a collector with a fairly complete Blackburn collection. I'm not sure if he's active on SCF, but he's out there, and probably has most of what you never see.

As I think I said in my first post - when you're only missing the few cards, it's hard to add anything new, and frustrating that you can't. What I've found eases that frustration - find other memorabilia to add to the collection.

I collect Terry O'Reilly, I have over 70% of his total cards (including 1/1's), and now Ive reached the point where cards are few and farbetween but I found just as much enjoyment in finding my GU stick, a lot of nice Auto'd 8x10's , bobble heads, artwork and such. Some of which is alot cheaper than cards!
