Is this shipping charge excessive?
Won 5 Ebay auctions form the same seller. The cards totaled $3.47. The seller than wants $9 shipping from TN to AR!!!
I asked if he combined shipping, after the auctions (my fault), and he claims $3 for the first card, and $1.50 for the rest. I'm thinking they should all fit in a bubble mailer with DC for the neighborhood of $5.
The seller basically said that bc the cards went so cheap, he can't help me at all. It's not a lot of money, but it's the principle.

That's way too much. He can send them in a USPS small flat rate box for $5, unless he feels that the "handling" is really worth the additional $4 which, as a ebay seller, I think is is a bunch of crap. If he makes you pay that much for shipping, mention the shipping in the feedback.

It's probably going to cost him like $3 to $4 to ship lol. But you should have asked before you won the auctions. The sellers have to make money somehow especially if their buyers dont ask about their shipping discount.

It's kinda like the hidden expenses when buying a new car,if you don't ask he's not gonna tell. With that being said I'd have told him to cancel the deal.

Lesson learned. Should have asked first, I know.

Did he state in the auction what shipping would be for additional cards if you won multiple auctions?
Either way the shipping is a rip-off. I've sent bubble mailers through the mail with over 50 cards for less than $3.
I would definitely leave neutral feedback if he doesn't work with you.

1. you're not supposed to charge extra for shipping just because the cards didn't sell for what you wanted.
2. what stops you from leaving a neg. i think he asked you for one.
3. he is stealing and should be treated as a thief.

It will definately cost him less than $9 to ship the cards BUT I have seen worse on ebay some where the seller wont even combine at all and hit you with the $3 per card :(.
