UD Redemption question...
Right, so quite a while ago I made a trade for a OPC Premier prestigious pairings dual auto redemption. When I received it, I redeemed it (why wouldnt I as it's a Roy/Price card) but now, it's months later and the status still is: Athlete committed to signing please be patient.
Now, as far as I know, Roy normally signs quite quickly and so does Price...What's the hold up here? I see a lot of chatter about UD having difficulties fulfilling their redemptions so I guess my question is, what should I do? Wait forever? Call UD?
Any suggestions?
Any advice appreciated,
Thanks

I assume you'd rather have the card you redeemed than a possible replacement?
If that's the case you may want to call or email Upper Deck and see what the situation is. Not that you'll likely get much of an answer that would be helpful. If it hasn't been a year yet, you may want to wait it out for a while until the off season is over. If the status hasn't changed by then, possibly look for a replacement.
I'd wait until after the offseason if it were me. Perhaps Roy and Price will get things signed by then? Or Upper Deck may actually produce the card and get it sent out by that time?

Yea, I would wait till the offseason is over till I started to worry, you could also go over to the Upper Deck facebook page and ask them over there they can usually tell you whats taking so long(lost the card,Price or Roy havent signed yet, etc.)

In all likelihood it's Roy that's holding up the process. From my understanding he only signs in batches as UD can only schedule him for a couple sessions per year (somewhat similar to how it was with Saku when he was still a Canadiens) so they may not have given those ones over to him yet.
It's not like Carey's that busy these days.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Karine, I can tell you, as advice given to me personally from someone very high up in the UD food chain, if you have been waiting over 6 months and it is NOT a 1/1, cash out your white card.

Id say swap it, lately many people have been getting great replacements and many include a roy auto.....so why not?

Ummm...divided opinions I see...Tricky business, if I knew for sure that i would get a Roy or Brodeur as replacement, I would definitely try to cash it in...
Decisions, decisions...

Well they will ask you for a list of what you collect and if you specify those two dudes chances are they'll hook you up real nice-like.
