Congrats! I knew a few friends that went to Kent State, and they all loved it, none of them transferred.

A word of advice, start some type of fantasy sports league in your dorm. First thing I did was take a dry erase board, write that I was starting a fantasy football league, and that group ended up being my best friends.

Damn, I miss college now.

i thought college was a waste of time i went got my ba in business management from northern iowa, then my substance abuse certificate from william penn, now i work in the family business haha should of skipped college and just saved on the student loan debt

I don't know anyone who went to Kent, but I haven't heard anything bad about it. At least not since the National Guard shot up the protesters 40 years ago. My mom went to University of Akron in the 90's and I attended Akron's concert band camp for three years-- not too far from KSU.

Personally, I went to Emerson College in Boston, B.S. in broadcast journalism with minors in history and music.

I wrote a piece on my college experiences and advice a few years back that was funny, but also had a couple good tidbits of advice. If anyone wants to read it, I'll post it here if I can find it.
