Topps Triple Threads HORROR STORY - With Topps response

So yesterday I got a box of Topps Triple Threads baseball (2008) for Father's Day. Get ready for this, for a $200 plus box here is who I pulled...
    /1350
    Dale Murphy,Eric Chavez,Phil Rizzuto,Justin Verlander,Lance Berkman, Walter Johnson
    /525
    Gil Meche,Brad Penny
    /250
    Jimmy Rollins,Garrett Anderson
    My "Hits"
    Jonathan Albaladejo auto 42/99
    Matt Holiday jersey /9

Now I've pulled a scrub 1/2 before, but having a box with Albaladejo and Holiday in it, then having no decent base cards with low #'s at all.... I mean come on now.

So I call Topps this morning, speak to a lady there. She appologizes and then says "We can send you out a pack of Topps"... A PACK OF TOPPS.... The base of Topps, a pack of base Topps.

At this point I told her I was done collecting Topps. Topps was clear in telling me they dont care much at all about their customers. And if you check my bucket, I had collected a large amount of Triple Threads in the past.

I will never, ever collect anything Topps again, and I did really like some of their stuff.

So your upset that you didnt do amazing? no offense, but its the chance you chose to take, its not Topps fault that every box doesnt have a Jeter or Pujols Auto or a HOF GU card, not close to a horror story, Topps really don't need to send you anything at all

I concur. That is the nature of box breaks. I blew more $ on 6 boxes and didn't get much myself. That is how it goes. Trust me, you are susceptible to the exact same horror with any product.

I disagree with all of you... To buy a high end box and pull a guy who wont make it to the bigs and Holiday is ridiculous. And then to have someone send a pack of Topps series 1 is vinegar in the wound.

It happens all the time, its big risk big reward, now lets say Topps messes up correlation and you get a Ryan Howard 1/1 Auto and a Pujols Auto from the box, would you send one of them back because you got more in value than you should have? it works both ways, i understand your upset you did bad, but Topps doesn't owe you anything, no card company will compensate you because you had a bad box, if they did, A) cards wouldnt be worth what they are and B) they'd probably be out of business

Have you ever seen a box with a Howard 1/1 auto and a Pujols auto in the same box or is that just a hypothetical to make your point? I havent and I read the board very often. Fact is it is a high end box, why is Albaladejo in there? I have collected many, many boxes, and a lot of high end. To have a box like this shouldnt happen.

Also, if Topps righted the wrong that was witnessed in store by their buyers they wouldnt go out of business. As a matter of fact they would have much more business from people they angered like me. That is called "good business".

I understand what the OP is trying to say. He feels that out of a $200/box product when opened you should feel like u opened a $200/box product not a $20 product. But like was already stated thats the nature of the hobby, win some lose some. This was a loss. Hope the next one is a win for ya.

I am also going to agree with the other posters.. it's a gamble. You got the hits, they just weren't very good.

My 1 box of TTT yielded a Ty Cobb triple bat (sold for $100), and this, so it is just a matter of luck:
