    Shaq is MVP

    As great of a year that Lebron and my personal favorite-Steve Nash-are having, Shaq is the MVP of the NBA. Look what happened to the Lakers since he left, and the improvements that Miami have made.

    I'm sure the mod will move this one to the appropriate forum soon.

    I agree about Shaq. Nash has indeed made a big difference with Phoenix, but is Dallas faring much worse without him? That's the question I always pose in the current MVP debate. Shaq leaves his time and they're struggling for a playoff spot, and he comes to Miami and they dominate the East. Nash leaves and helps Phoenix immensely, but Dallas is still about as good as they were last season without him. Granted, they have some more inside help now with Dampier, and Terry is also playing well, but I still think it has to go to Shaq. He is still the ultimate dominant force in the game.

    LeBron is also up there, but the Cavs as a team haven't taken off quite like Miami has with Shaq. I've also heard Duncan mentioned a little bit since the Spurs are still winning, but he's not having his best season and I don't think you can compare him to Shaq in terms of value.

    Miami is winning without Shaq. And if they lose they barely lose. Just look at their recent games. That is why Shaq isn't MVP.

    Disagree, Nash is MVP. Look what happened to his team the games he was out, THEY LOTS ALL OF THEM!, that wouldnt be a big deal except they have one of the top records in the league!

    Miami Heat would be good without shaq, they have good players, Wade is a superstar who could lead the team himself, look how the played without Shaq, they did fine, perhaps better in some areas getting all players involved more. Phoenix did terrible without Nash.

    MVP=most valuable player.

    Steve Nash is hands down the most valuable player to his franchise. Shaq is just a dominant force, has a big impact on the game, but isnt as valuable as Nash

    I think that KG was playing hurt most of the year-his knees were really bothering him. I guess he is feeling better because lately he has been posted the KG-like numbers.

    I don't think that Miami is a good team without Shaq. Who is the backup center, Michael Doleac? After Shaq and Wade the only other go-to guy is Eddie Jones, who is a Greyhound but he's not really that explosive a scorer. If Shaq wasn't on the team they would be a .500 or worse ballclub. As it is right now with him they are battling for the best record in the NBA.
