Halo-- A rarity there, he refused to sign that card often a few years down the line because the cut by his eye was from his famous loss to Troy Crowder.
Big big big loss to the hockey world. Not just the best fighter of his time, probably the best fighter of all-time (with apologies to Behn Wilson, Nick Fotiu, and Dave Brown). Played in an All-Star game with a season of 29 goals and 398 PIM. Fought everyone, beat everyone. There aren't too many that he lost to without beating them at least once.
I have 6 DVD's of his fights. I'll be spending the next week watching them in memory of the guy.

Very sad to hear. Like ravens_creed has mentioned, it's best if nobody jumps to conclusions. The media is reporting that it was a heart attack and since he was fishing in southern Ontario, the brutal heat we're having could have contributed or triggered it. Propert was such a great fighter and I'll never forget him dropping the gloves with all of the other heavy weights. He was scheduled to be at a celebrity golf tournament here in Belleville next weekend.

RIP Bob. He sounded like a very nice guy, and he will be greatly missed.
Just like everyone else has said...Not jumping to conclussions, but it might have been the heat plus the cold water that might have also triggered it. Hot and cold do not mix well together.
Whatever the reason was...the hockey world has lost yet another wonderful person.
