The 9ers are better of than people think, we have lots of key pieces in place (run game, Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati, Crabtree and Morgan are a passable duo, we could still use that #1 stud though), Willis/Spikes make a fantastic pair of ILBs, Justin Smith is a savage, and Franklin is a top 3 NT, role players up front like Sopoaga and McDonald are decent enough, Vernon Davis.. We just need ourselves a franchise QB (There are none in this draft sadly) and some secondary help, and an elite 3-4 OLB. I think we'll win the West this year without too much trouble from St. Louis. I think we end up with Kyle Orton as our QB, which is passable until we can get our guy via draft. Harbaugh has the makings and vision of a great coach, now we have a GM and a competent front office and staff to actually utilize/evaluate talent. The days of that clapping monkey on the sidelines are over. The way parity is in this league now, even the losers can be winners overnight. SB is still a ways away though. Sorry to clog up your thread with football chat.

As far as the jerseys, the NFLShop ones are made 100x nicer. I'm not much of a "jersey guy" anymore, I have lots of them but I only wear them on gamedays and when I attend games, so I stick to the $30 ones. People ask why I have so many of "those $300 sewn jerseys", they don't even know that they're knockoffs lol. I do have a Mitchell & Ness 1994 Jerry Rice jersey, that was worth the money. That's pretty cool about Kuhn. I know a guy who went to Shippensburg with him and had some classes with him. Seems like a pretty nice guy.

Haha, I really don't mind. No autos the past few days, so its cool. I felt like last years the 49ers had a pretty solid draft, and got a great player with Iupati. I think they're just a few important pieces (one or two offensive weapons; a real QB). A lot was expected of them this year, and they were just a disappointment. Now with a guy like Harbaugh running the team, they're definitely headed in the right direction. On a side note about Harbaugh, him and his family are actually from my area. His father coached a local high school (he's in the County Sports Hall of Fame), but they moved away too soon for either Jim or John to recognize it as their hometown.

I prety much only wear jerseys on game day too, but I've got a decent number (handful of Favres, a Rodgers, Samkon Gado, AJ Hawk Packer-wise. I've got a ton of Ohio State ones, too). Looking forward to getting the Kuhn though! Been wanting one for a while, but wanted to make sure he'd stay on the team for a while before spending the money.

    One in today.....

    Tony Mandarich - c/o Home - 7 days

Even though he ended up being a mega-bust, I'm happy to add him to my Packers collection! He has a terrible signature and it didn't show up very well, but I'll take it.

    Another nice one in today....

    Jim Bunning - c/o Home - 8 days

Didn't sign the index card I sent him, but rather sent a signed 2000 Greats of the Game card. I'll take that any day! Definitely glad to get this one back, especially considering he sent a card of his own. Also got my custom Super Bowl XLV John Kuhn jersey today!

Ended the week on a nice little streak....

    Doug Drabek - c/o Home - 7 days

Signed and personalized it in black ink. That's two baseball returns in a row for me...that's a rarity.

Got two more in today, with one Golden one.....

    Larry Johnson - c/o Home - 11 days
    Bobby Hull - c/o Chicago Blackhawks - 59 days

Could not be happier, especially with the Hull! I sent him a CIC, and he signed it "Bobby Hull #9 The Golden Jet HOF 1983." It doesn't get much better than one of the best hockey players of all time with multiple inscriptions!

Mailed out all my ST requests today; a list which included Thome, Votto, Rivera, Sabathia, and Sizemore among others.

    Huge one for me today......

    Don Shula - c/o Home - 18 days

Shula has been one of my "white whales" since I started casually doing TTM a few years ago. I've sent to him multiple times, but never managed a success. Finally, on what I determined would be my final attempt with him, my card came back signed with his Hall of Fame inscription! This is one of my favorite returns of all-time...
