i think its a great game...ive played 4 games online. The online play is not as good as years past, but im gettting used to the game play. You can score alot easier on offense, and have trouble with defense unless you get alot of qb pressure. Almost everytime i blitz and dont get the qb, they score a td. I like it so far, the updated rosters are well worth it. Try the bengals, the TE is awesome, plus the 3 good receivers!

I like it. I just wish they kept the HOF roster.

Really? It's the same thing as the past 3 years. They haven't touched Franchise or Be a Superstar modes and the only new thing is Ultimate Team which is pretty cool but it takes a lot of time. It's not worth the money at all. I miss 2k Sports.

I didnt buy it last year, because since I'm such a NCAA football fan I just bought the NCAA game instead, when i usually buy both.

But...this year, I am getting Madden for sure! It is amazing. I played it at a friends, just out of curiosity. It's worth 60 bucks if you like football video games.

I really like it. Ive only played a few games in a tourny at a friends, no live. The Game Flow gets in the way, but you can turn it off. The audibles/shifts etc are a little hard to figure out at first, especially for defense. But the game play is really well done.

I really like the game this year. The turbo button being gone is kind of odd for me though. Daniel

    ok ... my opinion

    *******The Good*******

Locomotion has been fixed - players cut, juke, spin, jump and run more smooth. acceleration and deceleration are much better in this years game. Players take off quicker in and out of cuts and it makes it much easier in the run game.

Blocking - last years Madden was atrocious with Run and Pass blocking, they have fixed it. Although in this years you do have to wait and be patient and let your blocks set up before you hit the gap, if you don't ... well it just doesn't work!

The Gameflow - I don't know how anyone CAN'T love this feature! I hated in the past years having to open the playbook after a touchdown and select to kick a field goal .. now after you score you hit X and Bam ... Field Goal team is on the way in! I don't use it all the time while on offense but I admit on Defense it helps out tremendously! This feature saves some great time for those of us that like to play "authentic" games with real quarter lengths.

Updated Rosters - it's a given that when you buy the current Madden you will get updated Rosters so it's not so much a good/bad thing ... now I can truck over MoFo's with Tebow!!!

    *******The Bad*******

Audibles - the way this is set up this year makes it almost impossible to memorize what audibles you have set up.

Passing Game - I don't know why they tweeked it for this year but I've seen some stupid crap already. Pretty much anything thrown within a foot of your WR will be caught regardless of how many defenders you have around. Last night I was messing around and threw a bomb with Kyle Orton to Jabar Gaffney, 60 yards downfield with a CB and two Safeties around him ... and yup he caught it! I threw a goal line fade route pass a little too hard and the system glitched and my WR had the ball in his hands (it looked like the ball bounced off an invisible wall).

The Coach Speak - Highly annoying, yes it can be turned off ... but it is annoying!

Franchise - Doesn't even look like they touched anything here! Boooooooo

Paying for Online access - if you don't buy the game new ... you will have to pay $10 to get online access to Madden

    SO ... in closing

I won't say I'm dissapointed in this years Madden, there was some tweeks made that make this game better than last years but I won't go out and say this is THE BEST Madden I've ever played.

Is it worth the $60? Well that's up to you and whether or not you like to play with licensed NFL players/teams or not. If not ... then I'd say NCAA 11 is probably the better buy or even a game like BackBreakers where the locomotion is just insane!!!

Wow, thanks for the in-depth info! What difficulty level do you play? I usually do all-madden and play pass-heavy. I had a tough time completing deep passes on 2010. I relied on WR slants and quick dump passes to the RB for good, sometimes great gains. Of course, it's completely different when playing a person as opposed to the CPU.

But if I'm playing on all madden and throwing a lot of hail mary completions, that sounds just a little broken. lol.

Nice to hear the running game is a bit easier, I've always, always had a hard time with this.
