thats not true at all, especially in the early years of memorabilia. First few years when some of the card companies started making them they did not make a distinction of splitting up the cards, that the patch was just aprt of the jersey as well. It wasn't until after seeing the bigger demand for these that they split them as patch cards or prime jersey or logo/emblem cards

Well, that's the chance someone takes when they buy these earlier year cards. I for one, will not pay for these anymore that have patches on them.
People were just stupid in those days. Like a jersey card #d to 500, some idiot with a 3 or 4 color will claim that it is a 1/1.

Those are the ones that were faked more than anything. And they are the most suspicious ones.

As was said, they didn't generally make the distinction of patch and it was just considered the part of the jersey so the #ing was changed at all to reflect a patch. So it is indeed very likely to have a patch #'d /100+.
As for most faked patch set, I disagree. 2005 Donruss Prime Patches and Playoff Absolute Memorabilia are the most faked in my opinion. The Jumbo Jersey swatches make it easy for a seller to insert a very large, very desirable looking patch.

yep that's true true true. You can help stop that shaddyness. If you see something you know is fake contact ebay. I have in the past and they will contact you and investage fake game used patch cards. They even have there own seperate department now to look into claims that something isn't real.

Another fake patch from this seller. Bonzi Wells is a total fake. Grant Hill is a total fake. Both Penny Hardaway are total fake. (I have been tracking Penny Haraway stuff, and never see 2 colors switch on this card. Let along you can have 2 different verison with similar color switch)
