Thanks for the info guys, I did not know about this stuff. I will send out the e-mail right now to alert the smaller package that if he agrees to a cancel/refund I will do that and that way we don't lose out. I don't sell a lot on e-bay to know the fine print of the ins and outs.

And I was perfectly willing to refund anything under 30 to be honest because I have not had ONE issue with the post office losing a package in my life. This is the first time it has ever happened. I have had a reroute on packages where it takes a lot of time to get here but nothing like this. Ironic that it happens twice in one run of sales. If I had to estimate my packages shipped throughout all trading and selling sites it would be 1k+. Guess there is a first time for everything.

To protect myself I always do shipping thru PayPal. It is directly connected to eBay and as soon as I print the label the buyer is notified that I shipped and it is marked as shipped in the listing. Also and I automatically get a DC. For anything over $50 I use signature confirmation as well simply because I have had items with DC be delivered but never be marked as delivered by the USPS.

As others have said, if you give a refund issue a request for a fee refund. As long as the buyer doesn't tell eBay that he/she didn't agree to cancel the item then you get your final value fees back (you still lose the listing fee).

I can't help but laugh at professionalism when trying to make a claim.. I got a good laugh here. Not to mention the FIRST time he asked where his items are I gave him the DC plus updated it in claims filed against me. Not sure how many times he needs to see it. Had to vent before I go to bed, thanks

This seller has no numbers to back his talk.Check my emails from him and see if you can make any sense of it. I purhased two coins from him, he wants to keep the coins and wants me to pay for one coin. You figure out what his logic is. I thought when you buy something what yu purchase i the buyers. Here the seller cannot come up with the merchandse, and wants me to pay anyway. G figure, hoe it gets worked out son.

Well, this process continues to leave me confused in ways I can't even explain. Let me start by saying that I originally offered to refund this buyer one of two coins he purchased since the package did not arrive. With e-bay though they have left me very confused

I lost the case with ebay because of this
We didn't receive valid tracking information from you. Tracking information is required in order to be protected from losing a case and to confirm that the buyer received the item

Now I don't know how delivery conformation can no long be an invalid form of tracking? I have appealed the case to ask for further proof. I didn't get any human response to the issue which is very frustrating.

I logged into my paypal and they have only refunded the buyer one of two coins(the full refund was granted and then one coin was credited back to me!) Im worried that this is a mistake and they will take the second value of the coin out soon which is why I appealed.

I guess my problem all stems from the fact that it would be a lot easier to say that seller agreed to offer half of purchase back to buyer and we sided with that?

    Thanks
    jay

I'm confused why DC isn't enough proof. Does the USPS system track it to his zip code. I'd be curious what else they expect you to supply. I'm also not sure about the half refund when I assume both were shipped together.

    Use DC number 0310 2010 0000 1685 6313
    Link to USPS DC website

I shipped both coins together of course. Oak Creek is our primary routing post office in Wisconsin.

You lost because D/C doesn't show it as delivered.

that stinks, because the post office doesn't guarantee delivery with DC, just confirmation of the delivery, which seems kind of stupid. lol
