When traders are serious
Hi all,has anyone else gone through the work of a trade? You know, pulling cards, checking numbers that type of thing only to find out in the end the other trader has to ask his dad if the trade is ok. Seems to me anyone on here should be of age and not have to ask their parents if a trade is ok.The trade i had worked out was no big deal, just some cards to help fill a set.The trader is a new one, just signed up in december.Does this forum have an age requirement? Not sure, sorry about the rant

There are no age requirements to join and trade in this site as far as I know. However, there are much older people on this site that act worse than children when it comes to sales/trades.

What irks me even more than that is when some one posts their wants or whatever and you go to all the trouble of checking to make sure you have them, then you post a reply or PM them with what you have and they never get back to you.

ive traded with 15 year olds that have more class then 35 year olds...im fairly picky with who i trade with because i dont want any drama, i can tell within the first couple of messages whether its going to be worth it to continue talks
although, having to ask your dad if you can make the trade is a new one to me lol

I agree. #1 pet peeve of mine on this site. At least be thankful that the kid has the courtesy of telling you he has to ask his father for permission.

personally i dont see the problem with someone asking their parents to trade, honestly its just a hobby if you dont get that card, im sure it'll show up again somewhere

This happened to me and the members were all adult. I did trade with young members and never had a issue. I tried trading with some adult member that made me pull vintage base card or recent base card only to back off after. I had a pile of vintage leaf pulled that i place back the other day. these will happen at time and you will realize that age is not always a garenty...
Kids, if we leave them out of the market, who will buy the nice cards you have when you want to sell them 10 15 year down the road. They are a big part of this hobby. If as a kid I did not buy cards, I would simply not collect them today. Think about this last statement.
Any members under the age of 13, we need a agreement from their parent. I saw moderator call parent about issue we had and this member is a great member today. He learned how to interact with us. We gave him a chance and he took it.
For this hobby to grow, we need to open it to kid. I feel like a kid playing in my new room for my collection. And I am 48 soon 49.
Maybe I"m still a kid, deep inside!!!
