Aint that the truth. I like collecting Doughty cards but i would never offer what i have in my bucket for a Auto RC Patch or anything along those lines.

I have made some trades and sales here there and everywhere. I have over 350,000 cards. I was on another site reading a thread about white whales mostly player collectors looking for their whales. It turned out i knew i had 4 or 5 of the cards people were looking for form sets i never finished. I contacted one member if he was still looking for this particular card and he said and had been looking for 5 years for it. I took about hour and half searching through countless 3,500 count boxes to find his card. I contacted him saying i had found the card he was looking for and included a scan of the card and said make an offer. The card booked for something like $60 and his offer was $12. I nearly hit the ceiling. I was so mad that i had spent all that time to find his whale and that was his offer that i asked for his mailing address so i could shred the card and send it his way.Needless to say after that experience i did not bother looking the other whales i know i have or will i ever.

I quoted Lemieux_Gretzky because we just did a small trade, 8 Daughty base cards for a 8$ jersey of Lafeur. But the time it took me to find the cards prompted me that make a clean up in my collection.

First it was the first time I was approach with a list a base card for trade and that was because he search my inventory. He is actually not the first one to contact me because he search the SCF Inventory and found my cards and sent me a PM. I realise it was time for me to get better organise. I want to thank him for his patience, I found all but one card and we finnaly made the deal a week after it started. It could have fail but what I realised is that if I was better organised on my side, it would't be a issue for me if iy would take me 5 minutes to pull them out and 4 to put them back in place if the deal fails. SO this is what I did. I rearrange my card room and finnaly made a room I can work in, access any of my 60,000 cards collection box just by removing a cover, no boxes to move to access other boxes. I can open all my boxes and move card from one to a other boxes very easy that way. I am not finish but I am going trought all my boxes. Most set are already in my inventory and in boxes sorted by number with a tag a bit hugher the the card where I write the year and set name. Then I concentrate the set from a year together. SO now I am creating boxe that start at 1980 on up for base where not only the year fllow now in the box but the next box on the right continue the year pattern. So if I want 80's I go in one corner, if I want 90's the it further right so they all follow now. What is still to do is all the cards I pull that are not entered in the inventory. But if they are not in my inventory, no one will ask for them.

So I realise the best way isto control what I can control, mainly being better organise, i find card much faster and is lees a problem if one say no since I started the big cleanup and organise my new room so I can access any card fast. I made a video in show and tell if some want to see my new habs collector haven.
