Detroit Pistons' rookie forward/center, Greg Monroe, was the guest on the "Pistons Tonight" local sports talk radio show broadcasting live at the Clarkston Tap pub out in Clarkston, MI tonight. Got Greg to sign my Pistons giveaway poster (already signed by Jonas Jerebko, DaJuan Summers, & Austin Daye) to finish that piece off as well as my 8 x 10 photo too.

Less than 20 people were in line to get an autograph or so from Greg. Of course I know I could get him at the Palace, but figured that I jump at this opportunity to get my poster as well as photo signed since he was doing 2 per person.

Decided to hit up the Washington Wizards at their hotel today. Bigger crowd of 20 other graphers (for Wall of course) there today. Got the following to sign for me as they boarded the bus to the game:

Trevor Booker - 1/1 trading card

Josh Howard - 1/1 trading card (finally got his autograph)

Andray Blatche - 1/1 trading card

Rashard Lewis - 1/1 trading card

Maurice Evans - 1/1 trading card


Missed out on the following:

Yi Jianlian - 0/1 (ignored as he jumped in a cab with JaVale McGee)

assistant coach Randy Wittman - 0/1 (ignored)

assistant coach Sam Cassell - 0/1 (just said "how y'all doin" and boarded the bus without signing)

Kevin Seraphin - 0/1 (ignored; really!?)

Nick Young - 0/1 (ignored; 1st time I see him doing so)

John Wall - 0/1 photo (signed for less than 10 people before being ushered by a trainer to get on the bus since he was the last player to board the 1st bus)


Hamady Ndiaye, Mustafa Shakur, Cartier Martin, and Wizards' TV analyst Phil Chenier also signed, but I didn't have anything for them. JaVale McGee and Jordan Crawford ignored. Majorly missed out on John Wall this time around, but glad I got Josh Howard for my 1st time ever. Will have to wait until next season to get my Wall photo signed then.

Detroit Red Wings' left winger, Tomas Holmstrom, made an appearance at the Meijer store out in Wixom, MI today as part of the Red Wings Day At Meijer held there. Got Tomas to sign my puck for me.

Detroit Pistons' guard Rodney Stuckey made an appearance at the Meijer store out in Rochester, MI today for the Pistons Day At Meijer held there. Debated on whether to stop by or not, as I don't really need him on any other stuff, but since it was close to home on my way back from work, decided to hit up the signing. Only brought 2 cards for him to sign, so got him to sign both for me.

Detroit Pistons' foward Jason Maxiell was the guest on the "Pistons Tonight" local sports talk radio show broadcasting live at the Cass Bar in Utica, MI tonight. Being just 15 minutes from my house, decided to stop by the show on my way home from work for a couple of brewskis and autographs from Maxiell. There were literally less than 10 people that were there to get Maxiell's autograph, no signs of any dealers or Ebay sellers that plagued the other shows, with me being the 1st person to initiate him to sign during the 1st commercial break. Got Jason to sign both of my trading cards that I brought as well as a 8 1/2 x 11 promo photo the station reps were handing out. Probably could have gotten my remaining 4 unsigned Maxiell cards signed, but I didn't bring them with me and also could have gotten a picture with, but didn't have my camera on me.

After work today, hit up the Toronto Raptors at their hotel. Only a total of 3 graphers including myself there to graph the Raptors. Got the following to sign for me as they boarded the bus to the game:

Julian Wright - 0/2 (apologized that he couldn't sign as he had to go and jumped into the cab with Joey)

James Johnson - 0/1 (hopped into the cab with Joey & Julian)

Sonny Weems - 0/1 (casually walked onto the bus and I didn't recognize it was him until he already boarded)

assistant coach Alex English - 0/1 (ignored; as if he was going to sign anyways)


DeMar DeRozan signed, but I didn't have anything for him. Didn't need Ed Davis nor Linas Kleiza. Amir Johnson was still out with an injury and didn't travel with the team.




Immediately afterwards, drove up to the Palace of Auburn Hills for the Pistons vs. Raptors game. Decided to graph the Pistons at their tunnel, so got the following to sign for me as they made their way to the back after shooting around:

Tayshaun Prince - 1/1 Meijer promo photo (already signed by Ben Gordon, Rodney Stuckey, Charlie Villanueva, & Richard Hamilton; scrawled a pure crap signature, but photo is going into the PC so I'll take it)

Jason Maxiell - 0/1 (walked to the back without signing)

Rodney Stuckey - 0/1 (ran to the back without signing)

Jonas Jerebko - 0/1 photo (signed for a couple of people, then walked to the back without signing for the rest of us stating that he'll sign next time; completely shocked as this is the first time I see him come off the court without signing for everyone)

Ben Wallace - 0/1 Meijer promo photo (ran to the back without signing like always; needed him to complete my promo photo)

assistant coach Darrell Walker - 0/1 (signed a couple as he made his way to the back and told those on my side that he had a meeting to attend)

Ben Gordon - 0/1 (walked to the back without signing)


Brought stuff for Tracy McGrady, Charlie Villanueva, Will Bynum, Greg Monroe, Austin Daye, & DaJuan Summers, but none of them came out for pregame shoot around.

Cool stuff at the hotel and radio shows. Sucks you didn't get Wall at the hotel. He did the same thing @ the hotel in Philly (signed for only a few) though I was lucky enough to be the 2nd last person he signed for.

I have heard if you can time it properly, he will sign for everyone when they arrive at the hotel the night before the game. I usually go on gameday, and we all know then it's usually crowded and hit and miss, but if you go at night he's supposedly a sure thing.

No big deal on missing Wall as I've already got him on a mini-basketball earlier in the season on the Wizards' first visit to the Palace. Had a 8 x 10 Photofile photo this time around, but that'll have to wait to be inked next season.
