I did hear about the thing at Bdubs, but not who is supposed to be there. On Wednesday though Jared Allen, will be kicking off the return of the "Vikings Country Radio Show" (finally, they quit it when Tice took over) at the bowling alley on the 4th floor at MOA. They will be having it every Wednesday this year and Allen is (from what I hear) the first guest. I did not see Silva there, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was there. I will PM about the Swarm ticket(s).

I've been lurking and wanted to say thanks for your links and stories! It really gives me more hope as I'm just starting a collection of Minnesota sports athletes. I'm going to bookmark this thread as my homepage and check it daily!
This summer I was able to get on Minnesota Twins Jerseys:
-Denard Span / Navy Away
-Danny Valencia / White Home
-Delmon Young / Grey Away
-Michael Cuddyer / Throwback Vintage
-Joe Nathan / Navy Away
&
-Tony Olvia (at the state fair all week long @ Minnesota Twins Booth) / Cooperstown Babyblue
with signed bats/balls from Ben Revere, and Michael Cuddyer. If you're unaware you can check the Twins Player Appearances at this link

Anyway I love your feedback and I'm sure I'll run into you one of these times at these autograph sessions!
I NEED to get on jerseys: Brian Robinson, Jared Allen, Adrian Peterson, Chad Greenway, and Percy HarvinLast edited by Langers; 09-06-2011 at 05:37 PM.

IIRC Jared Allen is routinely at the MOA for his weekly Vikings Radio Show with KFAN, atleast last year he was.

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. That's a great start you've got going there. I did know about the Twins appearance schedule, but have completely forgot about it this year. I hadn't watched a game of theirs since july 4th. I am not real big on baseball or the Twins, and having a down year sure didn't help. Allen is going to be at MOA tonight at the Sky Deck Sports Grille and Lanes on the 4th floor from 6:30-7. He is the first guest for the return of a KFAN radio show they used to do back in the late 90's-early 2000's. If you are able to go I would be willing to bet he'd be more than happy to sign your jersey. I am sure I will see you around. Thanks again! And good luck with your collection. I look forward to hearing of many great successes.

Well tonight, I attended the well anticipated and hyped (mostly by me) show of "Vikings Country" at the MOA. I figured their would be a big crowd, so I showed up at about 6 for the 6:30 show. When we got there not too many people were there so I ended up with a table right in front of the stage, and ordered some appetizers. Jared Allen was there when I arrived, but I was told he would sign afterwards, so I just got a pic with him before hand.
We (me and my grandpa) watched the radio show and ate (hilarious!) then after they were off the air they had drawings for signed mini helmets (which I didn't know about till, then so wasn't in) then Allen started to get up to go, and signed for everyone who was there and wanted something signed.
I then headed down to the BWW on the 3rd floor where EJ Henderson was appearing as part of a week long promo (as talked about earlier in this thread, also) to kickoff the NFL season. I had brought a hat, but they also had 5X7 pics for him to sign, so I got him to sign both, then got a pic with him, too.
Recap:
Jared Allen 2/3 cards
EJ Henderson 2/1 hat and 5X7
The Lynx regular season finale is tomorrow and there is a post game autograph session. should be fun. I have came quite the fan of the Lynx and their games. For anyone in MN who hasn't checked them out yet, I recommend you do. $10 LL seats (least expensive) plus fun basketball and entertainment.

I'm extremely jealous! I was in classes until 6:30 and knew I couldn't make it out even if I sped from Minneapolis. I almost wish I would have skipped class! But I know in the future there will be many more chances to get it done. Jared Allen is hiliarous in general, great character. How long was he there for you think? What's EJ Henderson like?
I'm surprised you didn't get a mini-helmet for him to sign? Why is that? Along with EJ Henderson? Just your personal preference?
I work out downtown at the Target Center and always see the Lynx players, in fact on occasion Lindsay Whalen is always on the next Squat Rack next to me (she's tough as nails I tell you). I'm tempted to get the Lynx auto's but I think for me, like you and the Twins, the Lynx don't appeal to me yet.
Any future dates you have planned for the Vikings?

He will be hosting at least two more times this season. They said to check KFAN's site and Vikings.com for more info on who and when will be co-hosting. Allen has to cut back on appearances this season cause his wife is expecting a daughter, soon. Yes Jared is a hilarious guy, I think he should become a comedian when he is done with football. I'm not sure how long exactly he was there for, but it was at least an hour, cause I got there at 6 and they guy at the front said that Allen had just got there and he left at about 7:10 or so.
EJ is a great guy, very humble. He is pretty quiet for the most part, but if you try to spark a convo with him he usually is pretty good about talking with fans. Always willing to sign and take pics. Looks like he's in great shape, too. Hopefully he can stay healthy this year.

The Mini Helmets were actually a drawing the restaurant had, but I usually don't get mini helmets cause they are like $30 each and look best with only 1 or two sigs on them. It would get too spendy for me. I prefer cards, cheaper and usually just one player on them, more personal, imo.
