Terrible loss again last night, Scherzer just lost his command in the 6th inning last night after cruising through the first 5 innings. Gotta move on though, bullpen still trash, offense still dead (8 runs in this 5 game losing streak)
Todays lineup
1. Austin Jackson CF
2. Scott Sizemore 2B
3. Ryan Raburn LF
4. Miguel Cabrera 1B
5. Victor Martinez C
6. Jhonny Peralta SS
7. Brandon Inge 3B
8. Casper Wells RF
9. Rick Porcello SP
So make it 6 in a row, Raburn 3rd and Wells 8th? nahHidden Content

And thats a win. Porcello, BRILLIANT, nothing else to say about him. Leyland tried his best to make sure the team lost though. Pulling Porcello after 84 pitches? Really? He deserved a one hitter, but Leyland ruined that.
Awful roadtrip, hopefully this is the begining of another winning streak, and hopefully Leyland gets fired soon.

6. Andy Dirks RF

I wish things would shake up..They've scored 14 runs in their last 7 games, clearly you need your best hitters hitting higher up, it should be common sense

i dont disagree with what leyland did yesterday with porcello,i have complete confindence in valverde a win is a win eather way but if it wouldnt of been valverde i would of been P.O.
I dont disagree much with the line up they are just not hitting all that well not leylands fault.
But i do think he should be spending day and night getting are bullpen whipped into shape they are just terrible and should be practicing day and night if they are not getting enough game time period, there shouldnt be excuses about not getting any game time [its called practice].
Every time there is a problem in Detroit we blame Managers and really are bullpen isnt pitching very well and our line up just isnt clicking like they should be,that situation is out of a managers hands.
Leyland could do things different but we are still going to have the same out come as long as we have the same players.
just saying.........

I have also noticed over the years once we start complaining about the managers here in detroit it gives the players a great excuse not to play decent baseball and they start to get even worse. Its like having a licence to steal not there fault and that is just how the players act

Porcello was cruising, Pirates couldnt touch him, so I disagree there..no need to bring in Valverde.
They arent hitting, so shouldnt you make the lineup in a way where the guys that are hitting (Miggy, Vmart Peralta, Avila) are in the middle of the lineup instead of having 2 of them hitting 7th/8th?
I agree on the bullpen, i'm tired of "they arent getting enough work" excuse..They should be throwing side sessions/simulated games if they arent pitching.
Disagree on the manager part (obviously) Leyland costs the team to many games, by dumb decisions, Its not even hindsight decisions, I'm questioning them as they are being made, and so are tons of Tiger fans. Like the Cleveland series, they could've/should've swept that series, or atleast get 2 of 3..But Leyland was stubborn.
Such as his "I dont play little league ball" when asked why he wasnt bunting Boesch when we could've scored runs to take the lead late in games, Leyland refused to saying "He doesnt have his guys who drive in runs bunt, so what does he do two days later? Has a guy in Avila who drives in runs bunt...
Leyland is a hypocrite, he's stubborn and he's costing the team games on his choices.
Let me put it to you this way, if Valverde went out there yesterday and we lost the game because he blew the save, would your opinion be the same? I highly doubt it.

Regardless, would be nice to start off the week with a win. Hopefully the Tigers have some good ABs against Hellickson and get Phil Coke some runs to work with

I agree with you saying the players you mentioned should be moved up they are our best hitters i just am not seeing that big of a difference the rest of the lineup still sucks lol.
And really we cant talk about valverde blowing the game because he didnt. but what if porcello would of stayed in and blew the game would you still be saying that?..That can go both ways
