Thing is San Francisco knew to pull him rather than let him blow the game,they're not the World Champions for nothing.

They should've never brought him back out to begin with though, he sat in the dugout for 30 minutes between the bottom of the 8th inning and bottom of the 9th.

And after a horrid loss yesterday, Porcello comes back strong to get a 6-3 win. Boesch with a homer, double and 2 runs scored, Ordonez and Inge with clutch 2 RBI hits and Raburn of all people made a game saving defensive play that people are still in shock about.

Off to the west coast for 3 games at the Angels. Furbush vs Pinerio tommorow, Tuesday is Verlander vs Haren and the finale is Penny vs Chatwood

After losing the first game of the series and Country Joe West blowing a call that ended up being the only run that scored in a 1-0 game, the Tigers came out to salvage the final game of this series. Miggy with the go ahead 2 run bomb and VMart had 2 RBIs of his own, Benoit & Valverde lock the door as Valverde goes 21/21 on saves this season.

4 game road trip to finish off the first half of the season, next.
Scherzer vs Duffy tommorow

First time in awhile it seems, officially a winning streak. Scherzer tweaked his arm slot, and really paid off today, 6 2/3rds only 1 run given up, Coke gets the final out of the 7th, Benoit pitches the 8th and Valverde the 9th to get his 22nd save in as many chances this year.

Raburn wasnt worthless tonight getting a 2 run homer, and Don Kelly hit a solo shot in the 9th after coming in as a defensive replacement.

Porcello vs Davies tommorow

And make that 3 in a row! Porcello was alright, 1 earned run in 5 1/3 tonight. Ordonez with a 2 run homer, and Dirks, Boesch, Martinez and Peralta all chipped in with a RBI as well tonight. Valverde made things interesting but got his 23rd save in as many chances.

Best news of all was Peralta being named to the allstar team giving the Tigers 5 allstars!

Tommorow is Hochevar vs Furbush

AND....

Horrid loss tonight, thanks to pitchers who can't rebound off of errors, and 2 costly errors that allowed a total of 7 unearned runs, the Tigers lost. Had those unearned runs not scored when the errors should've ended the inning, probably a win.

However, got the best pitcher in Baseball on the mound tommorow, and can get us a series win and a 4-3 road trip with a victory tommorow

Verlander vs Francis

Crazy game today. Silent offensive game today, Tigers only score 2, but it was enough for Verlander, who went 7.2 innings 9Ks and 1 unearned run thanks to an Inge error in the 8th with 2 outs that should've ended the inning.

Valverde came out for the 9th trying to get his 4th save in 5 days, gave up a leadoff double to Hosmer, who tried to steal 3rd with 1 out in the 9th, but was thrown out by the allstar Alex Avila. Turns to out to be a quick inning and Valverde is now 24/24 on saves.

With an Indians loss, Tigers take over first place heading into the allstar break.
