looking at the video again... yes the pitch was inside, but Fukodome made no attempt to get out of the way. His body went backwards AFTER he was hit...

Trust me, as soon as I saw the live pitch, the first thing I thought was that he didn't even try to move, but i'm not suprised and would've wanted a player on my team to do the same thing..

Yeah, I'd want a Met to to the same thing, but you better believe if it was someone like West behind the plate, he would have been called back.

About time Fukudome did something right...glad he took one for the team. Some very unkind things being chanted to him in Cleveland, ha. I went to bed after the 11th...

Its quite alright, Verlander wins tommorow and the team leaves with atleast a 3 game divisonal lead.
Porcello isn't throwing strikes tonight, which is extremely unlike him.
