    I <3 Jason Kipnis...

    awesome!!

No offense but you really think Carmona is gonna out duel Verlander?

EDIT: not to mention Porcello has always struggled against left handed hitting. Verlander however, doesn't, BAA of under .200 I believe.

No, no, no..... you never know with carmona. I am saying that there is still a chance that they can pull off a win. 99/100 times verlander will overall pitch a better game, but if carmona can pull off another good 7 inning stretch, and the indians can but on just 2 or 3 runs on verlander, they have a chance of winning. If you look at just Carmona compared to Verlander, the game would be decided before it even starts, but there is more that goes into it than just that.

I checked, Verlander holds left handed hitters to a .170 BAA, even worse for the Indians who roll out like 8 left handed hitters on most nights

Look at his career numbers vs Cleveland, Chicago and Minnesota, doesn't seem to matter much anymore..

Oh yea, and just a reminder for old times sake

According to the Indians' twitter there are only going to be 5 Lefties in the line-up, not 8. Kearns will probably be put in as a pinch hitter if needed as well

The first 6 guys in the lineup are left handed hitters or switch hitters (which will bat from the left side against a right handed pitcher) and Chisenhall makes 7 left handed hitters of the 9 tonight.

Nope, Verlander is a right handed pitcher. It'd be a good idea for Cabrera/Santana to hit from the right side, however, I would be suprised, and while right handed hitters do better, its not like they do well lol (.204 BAA for right handed hitters)
