BEST GAME I'VE EVER BEEN TO AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE. Waited out the rain and saw magic happen and quite possibly the dagger put into the Sox. Seriously, just amazing

For a more detailed finish.
Went to this game, after a blown call by the ump where it should of ended the inning it became 6-1, then quickly 8-1 after the top of the 5th. The Tigers chipped away though, Miggy had a RBI double in the 1st that was inches away from a home run, after a review it was ruled a double. Delmon Young had a 2 run homer, Wilson Betemit had a solo shot, Austin Jackson continued his amazing hot streak with a 4-5 night including 2 triples (league leader now in triples) Peralta had a RBI hit after a rain delay in the 8th to make it 8-6.
Raburn came up with Jackson on 3rd in the 9th and drilled a home run to tie the game, then Miguel Cabrera with 2 outs in the 9th drilled a first pitch offspeed pitch to give the Tigers a walkoff 9-8 victory

And a SWEEP of the White Sox!

Final score 18-2
It looks like the White Sox gave up after last nights loss. The Tigers offense went NUTS just a few highlights (most starters got pulled after the 6th inning) Cabrera had 2 hits including a homer and 4 RBI, Martinez 3 hits and 2 RBI, Avila 4 hits 2 RBI, Jackson continues his incredible run with 2 hits and scored 3 runs. Plenty more, as well.
Scherzer pitched great, 7 innings of shutout ball, only 5 hits given up and had 6 strikeouts. Luis Marte came in and pitched the 8th and Duane Below blew the shutout in the 9th

And another Tigers win! 4-2
Fister was OUTSTANDING today. 8 innings of 4 hit ball, only 1 run and a career high 13 strikeouts, he got the win, now 4-1 as a Tiger with a 2.67 ERA
Martinez hit a 3 run homer and Cabrera had a RBI also, only 4 hits for the offense, but was plenty for Fister.
Valverde pitched a 1-2-3 9th to get his 41st save in as many chances.
Magic number down to 16

Make that 5 in a row now

the offense got busy again, putting up 10 runs. Porcello pitched well going 6.1 innings only 3 hits and 1 run scored. Phil Coke got the next 5 outs and had 4 strikeouts and Al Alburquerque in his first apperance since coming off the DL got the first 2 out, but lost control, and Schlereth came in to get the final out.
Verlander faces Masterson tommorow as the Tigers try to get another sweep

Another win and back-to-back sweeps!
Verlander got his 22nd win on the season, only 6 innings and gave up 4 runs, from 2 Shelly Duncan homers, but Verlander only gave up 3 hits overall and had 8 strikeouts, so those 2 hits from Duncan were the only mistakes. The bullpen did the rest with Coke being shaky, but not breaking, Benoit/Valverde finished the 8th and 9th and save #42 for Valverde.
The offense put out a "Triple-A" lineup pretty much going on a matchup of lefties vs Masterson. In the 7th Martinez hit a grand slam to give the Tigers the lead and they didnt look back.
Off day tommorow then a 3 game home series vs the Twins
Magic Number down to 13

And back-to-back Saturday games with a walkoff homer in the 9th! This time by Brandon Inge! (I'm as suprised as all of you)
Makes it 8 straight wins now! Scherzer pitched very well 7 innings only 2 runs up, Coke pitched a scoreless 8th and Alburquerque a scoreless 9th and got the win.
