there are no insults in my post, except for maybe your bad grammar. what gets under my skin is your "i know better than them" attitude which you exhibited once again. "I'm fully aware when a certain guy needs a day off" how would you know what is going on on the bench or in the clubhouse? leyland and the coaches are the only ones who know how to best run the team. your obviously, limited knowledge of the game and the team are expressed every day. I'm tired of it going unchallenged. the other bad habit in your posts are your tendencies toward exaggeration and hyperbole. "Brennan Boesch or Austin Jackson (when healthy) need atleast 1 day off every week" or " the same lineup almost never played 2 days in a row." get your facts straight before you try to make a point. that's what i did when i looked up the starting lineups for the winning streak. i apologize if you're insulted by an argument supported by the facts.Last edited by mikez1031; 09-13-2011 at 01:24 PM.

You clearly take everything to literal, can't help you with that.
And the exaggeration you claim, isn't an exaggeration, show me how many different lineups the Tigers have had this season...How many times this season has the Tigers posted the same lineup 3 days in a row?
Sorry that you don't agree with me and I don't agree with you, but just because i'm not a homer doesn't mean I have "Limited knowledge about the team" I watch the games EVERY day, I watch the pregame shows, post game shows, press confrences after the games, I read the pregame press confrences. I mean come on, thats "stating a fact" You dont even know me, you aren't stating facts, you are just saying your opinion is the correct one
And sorry one more time that my grammer isn't perfect, this is a forum, not an English essayLast edited by gladdyontherise; 09-13-2011 at 01:37 PM.

you're right i don't know you. this is not "stating a fact about the competance of managing a major league baseball team 'I watch the games EVERY day, I watch the pregame shows, post game shows, press confrences after the games, I read the pregame press confrences. I mean come on, thats "stating a fact." that is stating a fact about information gathered. what you do with that information, however limited, is noted in your posts as an opinion. my point about the lineup was that leyland "knows" who to play and when to give the team the best chance to win. matchups, prior stats, physical and emotional states and for lack of a better desciption "gut feeling" all go into the decision making process. he makes these decisions based on "his" expertise and experience from his time in the game. your opinion, in the past, has been to play the same 9 players. like i stated before, i'm making an argument based on facts. i'm not saying that it is the only one. i am saying that to just spew empty comments and criticism without any basis in fact is a signal of ignorance of the facts.
again i apologize if that offends you.

You are right, I believe the 9 best players should play, I realize they aren't all playing 162 games a seaon, but more times than not I'd rather see the best 9 play.
I don't agree with everything Leyland does, and I don't have to. However, I don't "bash" on him when I believe (in an opinion of a fan) when I see him doing things many people have been wanting him to do for years..

I meant I don't bash him when I believe he's doing a good job, if you noticed, I haven't said very much about him lately, because he isn't doing the things I've seen him do earlier in the season and much of the previous 3 years

Another game, another win!
11 straight! Verlander also won his 11th straight start to get his 23rd win on the season, game was put out of reach by a Victor Martinez 3 run shot, final score was 5-0.
Tigers go for a 4th straight sweep today

The Tigers are playing some great ball right now,but even with 11 straight wins what surprises me is they still haven't caught the Yankees.

I'm not suprised, they were only 11-12 games over 500 before the streak, Yankees have been around 30 games over for awhile.
Looks like the streak should end today. With a day game after a night game, the C squad is starting today
