Loss today, but at this point who really cares? the offense doesn't show up in Oakland almost ever, so its expected.
Tommorow the best pitcher on the planet, Justin Verlander pitches in an attempt to land win #24!

Nothing new, Verlander starting after a loss the day before gets the win! His 24th win on the season and 12th straight win. He is also 16-3 when pitching the day after a Tigers loss.
He pitched 8 scoreless innings, 6 strikeouts, and continues to increase his lead on the AL triple crown. Austin Jackson got the first hit of the day for the Tigers in the 6th with a solo homer, Inge had a pinch hit RBI double, and Santiago laid a squeeze bunt down for a RBI.
Of course Valverde closed the game out to go to 46/46 on saves this season!
A 2 game road series in Kansas City starts tommorow.

Yeah, Verlander has been amazing. He is a lock for the Cy Young and I think he deserves serious consideration for AL MVP.

a little trivia question for all tiger fans and anyone else who likes this kind of stuff. what current tiger has the most expensive (bv) non auto rookie card? if no one posts the correct answer i will post it tommorrow.

(let's hope we get fair & competant umpiring in the playoffs. it would be a bad time for another galarraga episode. the tigers have had their share of blown calls this year.)

It's a tie between Cabrera and V-Mart, both $50.
