Given the "night" off, pinch hits in the 8th, first pitch RBI double, then gets taken out for a pinch runner. Must be nice for Miggy lol

6-3 win today, win #90 on the season. Scherzer pitched 5 innings 2 runs, then Fister came in for 3 innings 0 earned runs and got the win. Papa Grande closed it out yet again.

Last regular season road game on the season, much better this year.

Tommorow starts a 4 game home series vs Baltimore.

Walkoff victory today thanks to the bullpen going 4 scoreless innings and a walkoff hit by V-Money Victor Martinez.

No win for Verlander sadly after a rough outing. 7 innings 5 runs. He seemed way to amped up to start the game and he had bad control from that. He settled down and kept the team in the game though, after the team tied it up, a fluke play on a wildpitch strike 3 that hit the plate, bounced past Avila towards the road teams on deck area which allowed the runner on 1st to get to 3rd with 1 out, that runner scored on a squeeze play and was the difference.

Verlander finishes his Cy Young and MVP season with 24 wins, 2.40 ERA and 250 strikeouts in 251 innings

Verlander finished 1st in the AL in wins, winning percentage, innings pitched, strikeouts, ERA (for now), WHIP, and opponents batting average.

The greatest season for a Tigers pitcher that I have had the pleasure of watching.

Tigers win today. Brad Penny pitched poorly as usual but the offense got it done with Cabrera going 3-4 with a 2 run homer, Martinez had a 3 run homer and Donald Kelly had a 3 run homer also.

Final series with Cleveland coming to town tommorow

Another Tigers win, their 93rd on the season.

Doug Fister..What can you say, his regular season with the Tigers was simply awesome. He went 8-1 as a Tiger and his ERA was well under 2. Today he went 8 innings only 3 hits given up and 9 strikeouts.

Offense gave him plenty of runs to work with including 3 RBI from Avila, 3 run homer from Delmon Young and Cabrera as he goes for the batting title went 3-5 with a RBI and plenty more

Tommorow Scherzer pitches and the regular season finale will be pitched by Porcello

3 in a row now for the Tigers and that is win #94 on the season!

Scherzer got win #15 although he didnt pitch well and Valverde got another save, his 48th and will end the regular season PERFECT on saves! (he will not pitch tommorow)

Offense kept it going again including homers from Delmon Young and Miggy Cabrera who is making a late MVP charge putting up a monster month of September.

Porcello pitches the finale tommorow, not expecting most the regulars to play.
