So the Yankee thread is closed, (WHY???????), and i come here to congratulate you Tiger fans.

It was a great year for the Yankees, but once again they fail to get thru the playoffs.

Not due to lack of pitching like everyone thought would happen, but due to lack of hitting with men on base.

Nova had tightness in his forearm, i bet he had it at the start of the game and thats why he gave up the two home runs.

Oh well, obviously i am really pisssed and not happy, but lets see what their young players do next year if they are ready.

Anyway, you Tiger fans and your team earned this, lets see what you can do against Texas now.

The thread is closed because the season is over,I left it open for a week after last years elimination and it just got ridiculous,this way if anybody wants to start the 2012 thread feel free,as it's not gonna be me this year,as I feel I'm a jinx.

I don't like Porcello in Texas at all. Hell, I don't really like him at home either.

If it makes you feel better Porcello's last start which was in Texas he went 6 innings and gave up only 1 run, so there is some hope

Tigers have changed their rotation for the ALCS.

This morning it was Verlander, Porcello, Fister, Scherzer

it is now

Verlander, Scherzer, Fister, Porcello.

Like the move, because I didn't want Porcello pitching twice (if needed)

Tigers save their season to win game 3. Texas leads the series 2-1.

Porcello vs Harrison today and Verlander vs Wilson tommorow.

Happy to have game 5 tickets, will be my first time getting to see Verlander live this season!

That is the season. 2 wins short of the World Series, but this team proved all the haters wrong this season. They gave it their all and you can't ask for anything more. They have a great foundation for next season in place, they'll be back.

No, it isn't. This isn't Boston or New York where the payroll is $200 mil+. This is the Detroit Tigers with a payroll that started the season around $90-$95 mil and most everyone picked them to finish 2nd/3rd in the AL Central.

This season was not a success, sorry that you disagree, but I am proud of my team because they fought as hard as they could, guys with strained obliques playing everyday, guys playing on broken ankles during a game, torn ligaments in the thumb. Thats heart.

Great season overall for the Tigers. Can't be too upset year they had, especially in the second half. You can already tell with the new adds of Young and the pitching rotation, they will be the favorite of the division.
