Does Talbot have "options" to be sent to the minor leagues still? If so sure, because Purcey doesn't.

He's in the minors right now on a "rehab assignment" so I'm going to guess no. They just wanted him down and David Huff up. I would do ANYTHING to get rid of LaPorta. Biggest piece of trash ever...and we got him for CC Sabathia?!

David Huff = Cy Young Winner..justsayin

I can one up that, Tigers let Polanco walk without tendering him (so no draft picks, and I think he was a type A free agent)

Because Scott Sizemore was the "future" at 2nd base. In 2 seasons, he hit .220 in like 150 ABs, and gets traded for Purcey, so we got Purcey for Polanco

    Purcey > LaPorta
    Polanco < Sabathia

Michael Brantley does not make that trade okay. He's very borderline...David Huff is a stud. Got no run support last year (or this year, considering he gave up one run in six innings...and got the loss while his team go NO HITS.)

I would've loved to get 2 first round draft picks and have them both be busts rather than nothing at all...And Purcey's ERA is like 6. LaPorta >>>>>>>>>> Ice Cream Man >> Purcey

Have you seen LaPorta play lately? Yesterday, he caught a pop fly on a hit-and-run scenario. All he has to do is soft-toss it to second and he has a double play. LaPorta, being the All-Star that he is, somehow managed to THROW THE BALL INTO CENTER FIELD and allow a run to score. Oh, and he grounded into a bases loaded double play in the 9th of a one-run game the night before. Even Purcey could've done better in both situations.

Have you seen Purcey pitch? He walked a guy who was trying to lay a sac bunt

Perhaps LaPorta is the David Purcey of hitting?!

And fielding. I say we trade both of them to the Japanese team that Ichiro played for, or one of the Dominican leagues.

Jacobs/Progressive Field has the best chicken fingers ever, no lie...they're only like $9.

Maybe the guy from major league 2 that came from the Giants?
