LeBron is quite the comedian. Looks like karma isn't coming after him either. Heat have a good chance to win it all.

Huh? Pretty sure the Cavs still reside in Cleveland and play 82 games a year just like the rest of the league. So I'm gonna disagree with that statement.

Some post's have been Deleted, You guys need to tone it down and stop with the bickering, No more cheap shot post's at eachother and going around the profanity filter with abbreviated "sayings"...!!
Why cant these threads stay civilized, Anytime a Cleveland/Lebron James/Boston Celtics thread starts here come's the bickering back and forward, We are all grown enough to keep it cool and disagreeing is going to happen but keep it at that lets not start hitting below the belt anymore.Last edited by XxViSiOnxX; 05-13-2011 at 12:04 AM.

These Lebron arguments pop up every couple of weeks it seems like.
I think the problem is this. As a person who is loyal to one single team, it is a love relationship. We grow up with the team together, through good times, through bad times (e.g. years when Eddy Curry is suppose to be your best player), through strange times, etc. We celebrate with our team in their success, we mourn with them through the loss, and hope with them for a better next year. It's a love relationship. The team is a part of us, just like how our spouse might be a part of us.
That's why bandwagon fans, bother us one team fans so much. They claim something as their own only during good times. That's not so bad, but the worst part is they rub other people's faces in it. Saying things like "wow the Cavs (wolves, bobcats, etc.) sure suck, but check out my awesome Heat (Lakers, Celtics, Bulls) team." This is basically the equivalent of a guy who has been married to the same girl for 30 years since their youth and his friend, who never holds a stable relationship comes along, with a hot young 20 something he married last night in Vegas saying to the first guy, "Man, your wife sure is old and ugly, check out my wife she is HOT". So to fans who are loyal to their team, bandwagoners are absolutely obnoxious. I don't care if a person decides to pick a team who might be far from their location, as long as they stick with that team as their team forever.
Now for those who follow a certain player. That's all fine and good. People are free to do what they want. In that case, as long as they support their players and mentions nothing about "team" it would not be annoying. What makes it annoying is when player supporters decide they are team supporters too. Instead of supporting their player and saying things like "hey check out Lebron's awesome 4th quarter, my favorite player Lebron is awesome", things such as "Wow my team the Heat is awesome and your team is doing terrible." are said.
The above, when applied to the first analogy, it's like the unstable relationship guy saying to the guy married for 20 years. "Man, your wife sure is old and ugly, check out my new wife she is HOT; and don't worry about loyalty, the wedding ring I put on this new wife is the same wedding ring I put on my 5 previous wives, so nah I'm very loyal." I think people can see how that can be frustrating.

Anyway, back on topic, Lebron doesn't need to explain himself anymore, people who hate him already hates him, and people who forgave him already forgave him, and people who don't care, don't care. His words are empty and useless at this point. If he was truly sincere, he would've explained his "decision" (about this whole Celtics/team/winning fluff) at The Decision and not 9 months later.
P.S. to Nadeua01, guess you'll be rooting for the Bulls to win the eastern conference finals this year??

Don't forget Noah's terrible comments about Cleveland last year.
But I guess, nothing compares to his majesty, King James.

Post of the month! Esp. love the girl analogy - don't have an age thing in mine, but as a female who's gotten a LOT of crap over the years for being an athletic yet 'geeky' tomboy (women aren't SUPPOSED to play sports and reflect abstractly, blahblahblah
) who's allegedly not good-looking enough according to some folks to deserve being with my dude, he gets very annoyed when Joe Schmo and his Twilight-loving, air-headed, high-maintenance, clutzy chick pop at the mouth, too. In a few years, they'll probably be a cranky old couple with stereotypical mancave/shopping issues while we'll still be blissfully unusual.
Anyway, I never had anything even resembling a local team until the Thunder came along (I moved away from MN as a 4-year-old, grew up in TN before the Grizzlies came along, and lived in extreme SW MO for seven years until OK got a team for good), but I took to the Thunder in their opening year when they weren't even that good. Fans with local teams should be grateful they have a team at all.
