    Interesting Certified Error Announced

    http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2...arallel-is-it/

High-volume case breakers of the new 2011-12 Certified Hockey product no doubt already know: There is but one version of the Derek Stepan base card in the set — and it’s the Totally Silver parallel version that was supposed to be found only in hot boxes. Chalk it up to a production error.
So where as the other 149 cards in the Certified base set have both regular and Totally Certified versions, there are only the Totally Silver, Purple and Black parallel versions of card #150. For set-collecting purists, the standard Certified base set would conceivably now be complete at 149 cards. But we’d certainly understand if you wanted to include Stepan’s Totally Certified card as the final card in your base set.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Don't forget the ITG Masked Men III 1/1 Error!

Anyways, with the amount of cards they produce there is bound to be errors. At least they came out with it as soon as they found out.

i respect recalls, but i dont respect the mistake.
selling a product for premium dollar calls for error free items(in my mind)

its like oppening a high end resteraunt and making a mistake by putting a rat in their food.
i make lots of food so there is bound to be errors.

not trying to be rude, but see what im geting at?

i just like my money to be traded for something that was assembled properly, thats just how i am.

i didnt mention itg because i dont like it, and have never touched the product, but yes i remember the 1/1 masked error.

mistakes happen, im the first to say that, but for a paid product, id like to think they are non existent, or at least very rare.
when i see almost every product having errors it just gets... a little old you know?

The people working at UD and Panini are regular folks, just like us. Sometimes people make mistakes. Look around your own place of business. Is everyone there perfect? I am sure the person responsible for this error got quite a ripping.

We're all human and we will all make mistakes at some points in life. Until robots take over, then expect the odd mishap here and there lol.

Think about it though we have come along way for errors. Remember opening pro set an there's 15-20 errors per box lol

We are still far away from ProSet record and they are honest about it. To me it's part of the hobby and at some point some just wanted to collect error cards. Maybe we will see some error collector come back on the market, as this year there seem to be a little more then usual.

    I know people make mistakes
    But
This is a national million dollar corporation that sells products to make money

Mistakes could be eliminated if they hired people to inspect the cards and make sure things were right and all
