Nope.. The fact that he's on pace for a career low in points if you were to prorate his current stats over 82 games is not a fact at all. I just pulled it out of thin air. I never said he's regressed, he just hasn't progressed very much from his rookie season

Okay Guys. To be honest, I think everyone has valid points but the real reason why seguin sells so high is because ud s2 was very heavily short printed. There are just less seguins than hall, eberle or even stamkos (all which sell lower than seguin). When you look at yg exclusives, you can see that eberle and seguin actually sell for around the same.
I think that playing in Boston, playing on a wining team, and being an exciting player to watch are all key but his value in terms of young guns comes from that shortprint factor.

I know this thread isn't and wasn't intended to be about Matt Duchene and his play but I'll just end my part of the conversation about that with the following ....
his point production went up in his second year (no sophomore slump)
impossible to predict but I would imagine his point production would have been even greater last season had Fleischmann, whom he had great chemistry with, not suffered a pulmonary emboli which ended his season in January. He also was without Mueller all last season (concussion) ... was on one of the worst teams (and worst coached) in the league (plagued by injuries) ... and a team that spent to the salary cap floor.
sure his point production was down at the start of this season, but again he was without a competent winger and we certainly can't say what he may have done in those 18 missed games

its all about making a mark in the NHL, not just increasing your point total by 12 like Duchene. Sam Gagner made his mark last week when he got 8 points in one game, an hour before that his YG could be had for 0.99$ on ebay, an hour after his 8th point they were selling as high as 20$ and are still at around the 10$ mark right now

Supply and demand, that and the Seguin is a BIN at $100, I don't think it would sell for that.
09-10 UDS1 was over produced, you can still get hobby boxes and there's lots of them,
10-11 UDS2 was under produced, the hobby boxes have doubled in cost and are hard to find.
I personnaly think there's a decent investment value with the Duchene YG's at around $15, but the Seguin could be a risk at $100.
