I didn't mean to exclude the countless number of Firefighters and Policemen who died in the line of duty. These too are true heroes!. The last time a celebrity died and received this much attention was MJ. He too was not worth all the coverage! He was a child molester and in the end was living on propathol. This is what we are teaching our kids? That it is acceptable to do drugs and abuse children and people all over the world will come together and celebrate their passing!? Priorities are definitely screwed up here!

Being involved with Bobby Brown was the beginning of her downfall, but she could of left that life if she wanted too. Last time I remembered, someone who was actually important to the United States gets the flags flown at 1/2 mast, and she wasn't that important enough. Governor Christie will hear about that for awhile. May 15th, September 11th and December 7th are the only days I found that flags should fly at 1/2 mast from sunrise to sunset.
She basically had a gift handed to her and became famous, and then threw it all away.

What is wrong with society is exactly what is being posted in this thread. A person suffering from an addiction is being villified and called useless because she succumbed to her addiction. Sure veterans, fireman and many others deserve recognition for being true heroes. That doesn't mean we have to trash others because the public wishes to honour them in their deaths.

Not trying to stomp on your parade, I deployed to Iraq 3 times during my tenure in the United States Army. I ended up losing my career to Emphyzema, and Interstial Lung Disease for my Service in Iraq. Only prize I got was a Medical Retirement, and have a nice life. At the end when I die, there wont be Flags flying for me or anyone caring if I died or not. What she did was very stupid and she got what she wanted.

Why should she be honored like this though? Because she could sing? I understand she had an addiction, but because of her choices, she passed away and her daughter if she isn't already will probably head down the same path. Her life shouldn't be celebrated anymore than anyone elses.Hidden Content
