Overall stats since Lebron has joined the league favor Kobe?
Wait, what?
Thats news to me
Oh wait.. Are you trying to handicap Lebron for all those years when Kobe was playing while Lebron was in middle and high school?Last edited by Kutzy; 05-03-2012 at 09:44 PM.

Just for reference... career averages:
Kobe: 25.4, 5.3, 4.7
Lebron: 27.6, 7.2, 6.9
Since Lebron has been in the league
Kobe: 28.3, 5.5, 5
Lebron: 27.6, 7.2, 6.9
So, career averages are HIGHLY in favor of Lebron. Since Lebron has been in the league its pretty even if not in favor of Lebron. So show me these stats you claim show Kobe has been better.
*Waits for only claim to be rings

Lebron averages 3.5 minutes more per game then Kobe - hence his slightly higher PPG currently -
For everyone who says lebron played on teams full of nobodys - his 1.5 PPG difference between Kobe should be ASTRONOMICALLY higher (he should be averaging well over 30 ppg over his career given that "he had no help" except for at the time....the leagues leading 6 man....and at a time when there were only 2 good centers in the league...big Z was the 3rd best...Varajao was the leagues best roll player) what more do you need to succeed?
lastly and most importantly -
Lebrons PPG average in the playoffs for his career: 25.5
Kobes PPG average in the playoffs for his career: 35.4
---now THATS more like it.....like when it matters...not when lebron is scoring points from ticky tack fouls at the end of regular season games
5 rings.....0 rings....and one swept finals appearence - nice job so far
PS: lebrons career player efficiency rating is also lower the kobes. And Kobe has been in the league 7 years longer (skewing his averages lower)
Anyone that thinks that lebron is even in the top 10 best ever cant hold up an argument - nevermind the best - just stop - please

That was coming like death and taxes
Seriously, put the stats away. Same people would claim Lebron was by himself in Cleveland. Can't have it both ways. Besides, individual stats are cooler talk. Team success is the ultimate prize. Lebron's numbers are excellent but he left Cleveland for a reason. His numbers come easier now because he has a couple high powered weapons to take defense's eyes off him. He'll trade those nice stats with Duncan right now for just 1 LOL of his rings.
I wish they'd give him this MVP so all this "everybody hateschrislebron" garbage would stop. The media drools over him (MVP talk). He gets tons of All-Star votes (fans). What else do you want? Replace West with him on the jerseys?Last edited by cgb_orl; 05-07-2012 at 10:27 AM.

Wow since when did this thread turn into Lebron vs. Kobe thread????
Bring all the stats to Kobe's face, I'm pretty sure he'll never trade his 5 rings for regular season MVPs.
If Lebron wants to be in all time top 10, get a ring first & Finals MVP to back up his role.
Then we'll talk.

Wow im actually piqued with this discussion.Im not a stats guy by any means. They do mean a bit but not everything.Like statistics wise.....The Celtics beat the Heat 3 times in a row 2 of em at home.NOONE did that the whole year.Is that to say that Lebron isnt one bad motha?Absolutely not.Dont hear anyone saying "Rondo"'s name.Even though statistically hes gotten better every year since entering the NBA,continues to lead his aging team to the playoffs once again.Best player today?Kobe without him Lakers wouldnt even make the post season.Without Lebron the Heat would make the finals(probably).Reason we dont like Lebron?Hes an a-whole.Simple,hes really good, sometimes great. His mouth and arrogance, not so much.

I haven't checked this thread for awhile but I just want to set the record straight.
I didn't say I thought it was cool to rape a woman over screwing the fans.
I said "fans" as a generalization think that way. If you honestly look at the backlash from Kobe and the backlash from Lebron, you'll know that it's true of our society. Not that it's correct, but it is the state of our world today.
Don't label me that way and read my post a bit more closely. You've been blasting people about hating on Lebron and coming up with baseless claims, but you totally did the same thing to me.
Also, we don't know the circumstances around the Kobe rape allegations. He never did time and wasn't convicted. So technically you can't say Kobe "raped" a woman legally. Are the circumstances suspicious, absolutely, but a court of law didn't prove it without a doubt. It was settled out of court. There was some doubt on the credibility of her story too.
I really don't care about Lebron or Kobe. I think Jordan is the best player ever. Kareem and Chamberlian next. Great players make the other players around them better. We've seen how a "dream team" can fall apart b/c everyone wants ball.
For me stats can be deceiving. Same with having Championship rings. But if you have a few (or 6), you must be doing something right.Last edited by tiger tiger; 05-13-2012 at 01:25 AM.
