Round 3 - Official Series Discussion Thread: LA Kings vs. Phoenix Coyotes

Well if anyone doubted where the NHL wants Phoenix, it could not have been more evident than the non-slashing call against them with just over 2 minutes left to play.

The referees aren't even subtle about it.

Dave Tippett was ever a diplomat, going so far as to stating that if he talked about what was on his mind, he would be hit hard in the wallet.

His mention of Diving should ring clear throughout the league. It's become a farce.

I'm sick of this new NHL, the new NHL where players don't decide the outcomes of games.

And his point was very valid. every team does it, so if you dont do it......then thats your fault. I'll agree tho, i dont like the acting any player does to embelish a call, and i dont like to see my team do it. But i cant control that. The goals they scored were clean and very nice. They ended up with 1 more goal then the yotes, thus, the kings won. Cant wait for sunday

Kings deserve to be in the Cup final no question with the way they are playing. I kind of want to see the Yotes win a game or two to keep the series going or else its going to be a long wait until we see the finals.

Game 4 in about 14 hours. Downtown LA is going to be a mess tomorrow morning. First they have 5 games going in 3 dates with Lakers, Clippers and Kings. Tomorrow they have a bike race ending at Staples Center at noon (gametime for Kings game). They suggest We all get there at 9am....... NINE!!!!!!
Free donuts and all but dang - 3 hours early?

Either way I will be there. Prediction - Kings win 3-1

I was just watching the bike race, they've done a great job in keeping the busy thoroughfares and secondary streets clear, however, the moment the parts of the bike course are not being used and when the race ends it will be....

Smith pitching the shutout and Doan leading his team to a comprehensive, fundamental Hockey win.

If you play the fundamentals correctly, and have adequate goaltending, you will win a lot of games.

Kings fans looked stunned. I hope the Coyotes can at least win another.

Chris, you are so OC but a great Kings fan nonetheless. I can see your "superstitious" ways when you keep predicting 3-1 win after win.

I guess you figure if you keep predicting that score and they keep winning............LOL.

Kings were due for a let down,even though they played pretty decent.Coyotes forechecking was a lot better than the Kings.Hoping for a better outcome next game

Hmm, I watched this game, the first LA-Phoenix game I've seen. Someone earlier said it was such great fun play. It looked boring as h*ll to me. (Or perhaps I was spoiled after the Russians, that was such beautiful fast play everything else seems crap.)

Was this fourth game as the rest of the games? If it was I'm not impressed with either La or Phoenix.

No, it was substantially slower than the first 4, simply because Phoenix played a tighter style.

Not nearly as Fire-wagon as the first games. Hardly boring though.

Kings better come out blazing tonight or this could become a series, something they better not test with the Yotes getting a sniff last game.
