    Conn Smythe Thread

We've got a few players vying. Most likely your winner will come from one of these 10 players.

LA: Brown, Kopitar 1 pt. back, and Quick

NY: Richards, Girardi, Gaborik, and Lundqvist

    NJ: Kovalchuk, Zajac, and Marty

Mike Richards has 10 points and Zach Parise has 9, they are matched by Girardi on the Rags defense with 10.

Girardi could easily win this if he keeps up this output, and the Rags win it all. He is playing like Bobby Orr.

Whoever wins, I believe it will go to the goalie.

If LA wins, it has to be Brown. As good as Quick has played, Brown has been the centrepiece of attention for every team to try and check, but no team has been able to contain him. He's scored most of their key goals it seems like too.

If Phoenix comes back and wins, it will be because of either Doan, Yandle or Smith, but my vote would be for Smith. He has been unreal thus far.

For NYR, it should be Lundqvist or Girardi as of right now. Del Zotto is also a dark horse, as he as had some strong play throughout the playoffs. Unless Richards really carries the team though through their run to the cup, it'll be between Girardi and Lundqvist.

And last but not least, for the Devils, I'd say a Clarkson or a surprise in Henrique. Clarkson is +6 with 3 GWG and 9 points, while Henrique is +7 with 1 GWG and 8 points. Both are providing awesome defensive and offensively play. I don't think Marty's carried them as much as the play of the guys in front of him have.

Clarkson scored last night, but he has a lot less points than Kovalchuk. If he picks it up he can be in the running.

Brown or Quick would be my bet. I would lean towards Brown becuae of how good he's been..... just totally taking over games. Quick has been fantastic, but has he really stolen any of those wins?

Of course, if LA doesn't win.... that could change in a hurry. My playoff pool says they will though :)

Its tough choice between Brown and Quick - Both have been top notch this playoffs....

I would like to see Quick get it since I believe he will get snuffed on the Vezina to East Coast Bias.....He has been the MVP in my eyes - Kings would not even be in the playoffs if he was not as good as he was....and I know the votes were in before playoffs but he hasnt missed a beat in the playoffs

Brown - Best trade that never happen this year.....and he just turned on the jets right after the deadline....He doesnt even want the rumors out there at draft time...

Do you think the rumors were in anyway true? Were they really shopping him.... or just messing with him, to fire him up?

The top 4 candidates are Lundqvist, Quick, Brown, and B.Richards.

definitely Lundqvist and Girardi for the Rangers, especially after today, Lundqvist carried them the 1st 2 periods, Girardi with the game winner. i'd go with Lundqvist then Girardi, if Girardi keeps going though with the offense he could easily win it. for NJ i'd say Brodeur or Kovalchuk. haven't watched the other series too closely but Quick and Brown look like the frontrunners for LA.

Lundqvist is the only reason the rangers are still playing... case closed.
