    Beckett?

Was debating subcribing on a monthly basis so $9 a month. So I would like to hear from some of you if you think it is worth it? I mean if I can look up BV on all my hits I think it would be worth it, but is there any restrictions to just going month by month then lets say a year?

I'd just buy a magazine every now and then...

I get the Beckett football monthly. Two year subscription currently. Cheaper that way. And I save all my back issues.

It's a great resource. For new products, the lists are pretty extensive, but they drop inserts and oddball sets after a point.

There's some pretty good articles, collector of the month, previews /reviews, market watch and what's hot.

However, the values are inflated. I have no idea where they get them. Certainly not from ebay.

As a price guide, I use the high column as what I would pay at a hobby shop, and the low as the more realistic value.

It's always a good feeling when you pull that terrific hit, look it up, and see what someone somewhere out there might pay for it. Even if I never plan to sell it.

My wife thinks it's silly. "Yeah, so what it says $1,000, like your ever going to sell it!"

And she's right! But still, it's nice to see some big numbers next to some of my cards.

Right, I like it so far also. The online subscription that is. I am starting to wonder if BV should play a role in my trading.

It can be a very worthwhile tool if you're just starting out. Once you get a bit more seasoned and know the market for your player/team pretty well, you may find its utility diminishes somewhat.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
