To answer one of your questions buying month to month as opposed to a year there is no difference except for the price.

I purchased the Total Access package for a year. Within a week or so after getting the package the site did a major reconstruction. When trying to look up a BV for a card ending on eBay most every time I checked the site would give me an error message. At the same time I was adding my collection to the organizer I did not know about this site, big mistake). I was very lucky when I got to add a card after a long wait because most of the time I could not. It had nothing to do with cookies on my computer and everything to do with their site. After my year ended I asked if there would be any compensation for all the problems during the over two month period. I was given a resounding "NO". I purchased Total Access with the assumption that it worked. I guess Beckett plan should have been named Limited Access or NO Access at all. I will never, ever purchase their NO Access package again. The two times I called them the individuals I spoke with were extremely rude. Nice customer service I say.

With the monthly or yearly plan you get the organizer for free. It cost over $19 and it used to be free. Why anyone in their right mind would pay for that when you get a much Inventory Manager here is beyond me.

Guessing this was a few years back, right?

The printed version has had it's share of problems as well. I think it was three or four years ago, they switched to 10 editions a year, instead of monthly.

Anyway, my subscription ran out around the same time, and I called with my CC and re-upped.

A few months went by, and nothing showed up in the mail box. I saw new copies in the store, and had always gotten mine before the stores, (like I do now), but did not think about it. Figuring mine would come any day.

They had charged my credit card.......

So I called em up, and asked what the deal was.

They did give me a credit, but I had to pull it out of them, and all but threaten to cancel my subscription.

Some companies are very strange. Once your their customer, they treat you like dirt. God forbid you should ask for what you paid for.

I love this site too, and I don't even trade really. It's what I can learn that keeps me here, and the chance to talk about my hobby with other like minded people, and maybe make a few friends along the way.

But if there was a fee, I wouldn't be here. Maybe if I was trader....

The reason I choose to pay there and not here, is because I dont know alot of people here or the card collecting hobby well enough.

P.S. If I ever have a problem with a service I am paying for, the first thing I do is threaten to cancel on them.... tends to get them to listen real quick.

Yes, is was close to a couple of years ago. Because the monthly price for a sport online is $9 I thought that's what the OP was talking about. I guess I missed it and we are talking only about the hard copy and not the online subscription. Duh, sorry about that.

I only use my beckett for somewhat pricing of cards that are really low printed and don't come up on ebay often...other than that, I only get abou 1/yr just so I can keep track of the sp's and their numbering!!

Just out of curiosity, has the 2012 bowman pricing come out yet on Beckett?
