gotta agree with what Craig said...i am not an upperdeck fanboy - in fact...some of my fav designs are panini cards...BUT they will NEVER have the value that upperdeck has, nor will they have the mass desirability that UD products have. even when they tried to make contenders look almost exactly like SPA, they still did not succeed...honestly, i preferred contenders more last year....it was more unique...rookies looked nicer...leather larceny, against the glass...WAY better!!! plus the golden tickets are awesome!! maybe panini could not afford the price of gold this year?

I didn't mind this years contenders but I did prefer the look of last years. What doesn't make sense to me is the NHL ink gold /25. Pull a ssp well you know for sure that they have a gold /25. More Mario lemieux gold /25 have been listed on eBay than the actual NHL ink has. Doesnt make sense or look at players like Eric Fehr, got 3 NHL ink in 1 sealed case, he has a /25 as well when he was a heavy printed auto. Doesn't make sense

    SOTT>NHL INK.

However the simple fact is, the rookie is 10/11 SPA (most recent one released) were far more superior than 11/12 Contenders. You cant compar Nuge and Landy to players like Subban, Hall, Eberle, Bobrovsky, Omark, Seguin and Johnasson. Besides Nuge and Landy, not much m11/12 rookie value yet. Who knows, maybe some guys will jump out next year, but 10/11 is a great RC.
