    Question on a patch

I have the opportunity to pick up the card below. I guess since the patch looks a bit unkempt? I don't know a good word for it. Straggly maybe. I'm wondering if it might be fake. Any help would be awesome! :)

It's the end of the Reebok Logo. Middle of the top of the back of the Jersey.

Yeah, I realized it's part of the reebok logo. I guess I just over think everything haha.

I don't think it's fake, some patches just look like that if:

    A) The company didn't insert the swatch successfully.
    B) The part of the jersey used for the card has seen some action/wear, resulting in it being 'straggly' to use your word, haha.

If I were you I'd check around a bit and see if Pietrangelo's other Cup RC patches have anything remotely similar to that in them. You can usually get a good sense of what type of materials UD used (logo, numbers, name plates, goofy words from the photo shoot) and if there's nothing at all like a Reebok logo....you may want to avoid it.

Thanks for the help guys. The seller claims it's a card he pulled himself. But I've had several people say the same thing. It looks to good to be true. A very big Pietrangelo collector told me he hadn't seen a Reebok logo patch used in his Cup ARP yet. I'm steering clear. Thanks!

If you could get a close up of the patch swatch and the area around it? that's the easiest way to tell.

I remember seeing a few 2008/09 ones with the Reebok logo:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/330747121724?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261013110448? (There are a few with this seller including two Ben Bishop ones)

Honestly, even if it's fake, it looks pretty awesome lol. If it is, they did a good job doing so. Try tweeting at Upper Deck!
