My favorite player is Hines Ward. Not only is he one of the best receivers of all time, but his love of the game and loyalty to Steeler Nation is very rare with the mainly money hungry players of today. You almost never saw him play the game without that infectious smile on his face.

Thanks for the contest!!! My favorite player of all time is Dan Marino. There has not been nor will ever be another player to give me the chills, the goosebumps, the excitement, the tears, the happiness and the joy that he provided me throughout his career. Dan Marino is the G.O.A.T.!!!!!!!!!

Great contest. Thanks! My favorite player is Barry Sanders. Since his incredible college days at Okst. he broke over 40 NCAA records and I never saw anyone run like the way he did. He prematurely retired and he was such a good guy on and off the field I think he did it for the respect of Walter Payton to let his record stand and I am glad he is recently back in the Lions family.....

Thanks for the Contest! My Favorite College and Pro Football Player is the same, Darren Sproles! I went to school with him at Kansas State and met him a couple times, really nice guy. Biggest little man to play the sport in my opinion, very versatile, and the main reason Kansas State trounced Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship his Senior year. All-time single season yardage leader! One of my Favorite Non-RC Cards:

Regardless of the contest, this is a great thread. I love reading all the reasons why people like who they do with no arguments or any of that crap.
You should make it last a month. Although I think it's gonna be hard to pick a winner as it is. I'd just like to read as much of this as possible.

Thank you for the contest. My favorite was Tavian Banks, a kid who went to Bettendorf High School (IA), Univ of Iowa and then onto the pros (Jac) for a short time until he suffered a severe knee injury.
I was playing golf on an off day while in the military with a friend when a young kid (HS age) who we did not know asked if he could join us. Every word out of his mouth started with Sir and come to find out he was one of the top college recruits yet he was not cocky, you could tell he had a fine upbringing with how respectful he was.

My favorite player, being a long time Rams fan would undoubtably have to be Kurt Warner. Not only did he lead the Rams to a Super Bowl victory and set many records along the way, he also contributes so much to the community, and his charitable actions alone make him a role model for all young and old fans.
