Liberal Response: I believe in a woman’s right to choose what she does with her own body. While I don’t really like abortions, and wish they were rarely done, I support the right for a woman to choose for herself. It should be a choice between the woman and her doctor, not strangers and politicians. The choice isn’t about liking what abortions are, instead it’s about supporting the rights of women—and that’s why I’m pro-choice.

Conservative Response: Abortion is murder! Life begins at conception! You’re a baby killer! Rape should be seen as a blessing from God and we shouldn’t punish the child! We must protect life!

Not entirely. Look at all the conservative loons who said that if a woman is raped and gets pregnant it is God's plan. I am 100% against abortion and even I can't buy into that nonsense. I believe that a woman should be able to do whatever she needs to do with her own body to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. If she has sex and gets pregnant she shouldn't be allowed to kill the baby there should be some type of support system in place for her baby. Conservatives are also the ones who insist on no abortion under any circumstances but refuse to lift a finger once the baby is born. Hypocrycy at it's finest.

An abortion decision should never be made by and woman and her doctor. That is her decision, and hers alone. If she needs procedure explanation, or counseling, that is fine, but the decision is hers unless there is a medical reason as to why the doctor's decision is offered-up.

I think the reason they say it's between the woman and her doctor is because most of the time a doctor will consult the patient on what he thinks is best for her.

But ultimately the decision to have an abortion should be exclusively reserved for a woman.

And I'm glad I live in a country where women do have the right to choose what they want to do with their bodies.
