Just that many liberals are making the arguement that the ACA is law so it must be followed, while on the other hand they are perfectly happy that the current Immigration Laws are not enforced.
If the Republicans should simply go along with the ACA until it is changed, shouldn't the current administration enforce the Immigration Laws until they are changed?

So go after them for it.
Oh wait, they shut the government down so they can't.
The vast majority of Americans are for harsh background checks, yet the Republicans refuse to listen. The Democrats didn't shut down government, why do the Republicans?

90% support stiffer background checks. 90% do not support banning all guns. 2/3rds of Americans opposed the entire Obamacare bill, not just small portions of it. That is not the same thing.

The government is not shut down. That is just a nice little scare tactic term the libs are enjoying regurgitating.

...and the Republicans won't talk about stiffer background checks. Instead, they simply talk about banning all guns. I really wish conservatives would actually discuss what's being said, and not their own warped views of what others think.
You know what the Dems don't do about guns, though? They don't shut down government and say "This is exactly what we wanted" (thank you Michelle Bachman).
So the Republicans wanted to get paid to do nothing. Surprise surprise.

Which is why we're talking in a thread titled "Government Shutdown" which was started by a conservative with a meme saying it doesn't matter because the government does nothing worthwhile anyway.
Gotcha.

For all the grievances I give about the U.S and it's government....I would NEVER want the government to actually shutdown.
And just so some of you understand just how many people are being affected by the nonsense that the GOP is doing....look at all these shutdowns:

Hmm... When did the Defense of Marriage Act pass? Didn't that just get repeled within the last couple months? Then the IRS said gay couples could file their federal taxes as married?

Yeah I posted that same link yesterday, but with as much attention as this thread has gotten it is buried now. I believe someone needs to keep bringing it out so everyone can see just how many people it affects.

Exactly my point. It was passed, but the liberal agenda refused to just accept it as conservatives are supposed to do with Obamacare.
