The Republicans did get the Democrats to vote in support of the medical device tax that Harry Reid called "stupid", so maybe they wanted to get that vote on the record before they fold?

There's nothing to compromise on...but the GOP doesn't know what "No" means.
The Dems will NOT compromise on Obamacare, and they shouldn't have to....the bill is 100% legal and will help millions of people....the GOP hate that and are willing to have a shutdown rather than accept the inevitable.
There is no doubt the blame will fall squarely on the GOP for doing this.

It is not Constitutional. It is simply a health care bill. It was essentially presented by Obama and the Democrats in unfinished form. Even Nancy Pelosi, who was Speaker of the House at the time, admitted that she didn't even know what was in it before it was passed when she said "We need to pass it to find out what is in it." It was passed by a Democrat controlled House and Senate and signed by the Democrat president in spite of opposition by the Republicans and 2/3rds of Americans.

But here they are in overwhelming contempt towards the U.S government....

Obamacare went to the Supreme Court and they ruled it was constitutional, they know more than you and I know.

But again people from the opposing sides can provide numbers to show who likes or dislikes.
However, again Daune this law has gone to the Supreme court and ruled Constitutional, or did you miss that day?
