Any great rookie class that's not flooded completely will go up in wax price and never come back. ...Andrew luck, Mike Trout, lebron, crosby, etc.

Panini is done and 13-14 Prime dominion and NT have actually started going back up in price....

It's not completely UD'S fault for low value it's the collectors or lack of them....The demand is so low and everyone is selling and not buying....5 years ago these spx rc's would be closer to $200 for top players but people got smarter....

Oh yeah...15-16 will be up in price because of mcdavid....so get ready for series 1 $100 boxes...and much more....

Demand vs supply determines long term price....

UD is just mouth watering at next year's rookie class....There's guys already lined up to buy every case....
They'll flood it so bad...worse than 13-14 and mcdavid will be average anyway ...should be fun..

LOL, good one. He will only be average if the sample is Yzerman, Sakic, Stamkos and Crosby.

Why must so many of you go out of your way to feed the troll.
I will consider buying cards from my want list for the right price.

Not sure I went that far out of my way, but it's pretty funny when he talks about actual hockey players. Doesn't seem to know the game very well.

    Crosby scored 100 points rookie year...He won't. ...

Insert your low scoring nhl excuses...

Depends where he gets drafted. If the Leafs or Sabres get him, of course he's not gonna hit 60. He has to play Carey Price 4-5 times a year.

Agreed. How were Stamkos' rookie values back in 2008 compared to now.....

You called McDavid average - an average NHL player would be right around the average scoring level for a forward which would be under 30 points. Are you sticking to the average comment or or you now saying he might not be Crosby, the best player of his generation?

And Stamkos put up 43 points as a rookie. I would bet pretty good money that McDavid puts up more than 43 points as a RC. Most people in the know think that McDavid should be the best player of this next wave of young players, post Crosby. If you have intel that puts him as just an average NHL player, I would love to hear it.

Something is wrong with the hobby when there is one company making overpriced products.

I miss the early 90's where every $2 pack of Upper Deck contained at least one base card with a $4 BV and more Gretzky and Lemieux cards you could ever wish for! You could plan your retirement with a few cases back then, it was easy money. Since then the secondary market totally screwed with the ROI and there's just no more fun in breaking wax.

On a side note, a big thank you to all the box breakers out there who keep this hobby going so that the rest can complain about it!
