The Moss is #/ed to 75.
I currently have it, along with a damaged Gridiron Gear Fitzgerald Patch and a Miguel Cabrera Damaged Bat card ready to send back to DLP.
I emailed DLP about 2 weeks ago with scans of this card and they have not responded.
About a year ago I emailed them and someone emailed me back asking for scans of the front and back. I sent them and they never responded.

Stang81..your card is definately a genuine article. Before 04 there was a lot of stuff that contained patch pieces and said jersey. Plus it is a jersey with a patch stitched onto it. Most patch fakers just use patch only.
As for the guy selling the Bird. Technically I dont think he is doing anything wrong. He is not advertiseing it as game used, made by UD, or anything else. The card is his to do what he wants with it. And he is not claiming the card to be what its not. UD is looking for people that are making cards and passing them off as a genuine UD item. Specifically Yugioh, as the $$$ value on some of those cards is more than any sportscard will see. And there have been cases of people printing there own Yugioh and trying to pass them off as made by UD. Not just single cards, but entire packs, boxes, cases, etc. Cards that are entirely sealed and boxed and being sold.
So the guy is home making "conversational peices" and it doesnt appear to be illegal.
Would I buy them? No.

I have a shop that sells mainly the gaming stuff. I ask him about it sometimes because I know absolutely nothing about it, and I would like to understand that part of the market (which is BOOMING) and bigger than sportscards from my understanding. There are cards that people will pay thousands of dollars for in just about any legible condidtion. Gaming cards are about the game and "power" of the card, not the condition. Sure its only the very rare cards that command this premium. And most of us here will never see them, because they dont sell often, there isnt a ton of 1/1's of the same card just paralelled (there is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. and thats it.) And frankly I would have no idea what I am looking for or where to go to find most of the "rare" items.
Gaming is where UD has cornered the market on the kids' wallets. They no longer have to shell out $100 for a box or pack even and the cards get used, not sitting in boxes or on shelves.
So yes, in short. Gaming cards are worth TONS if you find the right one.

I'm no expert, but I would think yours is real. Just my 2 cents.

And this my friend is why you see threads all the time "Is this real or fake" from people scared to enjoy their hobby because they don't know if something is authentic or not. It becomes a vicious circle and it's ruining the hobby.

I realize the problem with whoever buying trying to resell and pass it off, but I am pretty sure there is no cardshop around who would pay money for it. And hopefully someone wouldn't be so low as to rip off some little kid.
I am sure the back must look pretty bad, why doesn't it show in the auction?
I bet you would easily be able to tell that it is fake. There is no COA stating that it is real, or was real.
I have a Joey Harrington Custom Oregon McFarlane that is honestly so good I could probably pass it off as an actual McFarlane.
I have noticed that when people sell Custom McFarlanes they clearly state "I am in no way affiliated with NBA, NCAA, NHL, NFL, MLB, McFarlane, yada yada.....
Is it wrong to make, or sell a Custom McFarlane? I don't think it is, or should be (AS LONG AS THEY ARE SOLD AS CUSTOM).
If this is a big violation of Upper Deck or any other card company (the auction in question). Someone should report him, if it does violate the rules UD will at least take action to the point where these types of auctions get pulled.
Thanks
Mike
As for my Randy Moss Patch, I know the design makes it pretty hard to fake. That is actually part of the reason I bought it, I didn't think someone could fake it with that design.
I would like it to be real, because I think it is pretty sweet.
I bought this card on eBay (thinking it was real). I asked Newfie about it and he sent it to UD (the link, before I paid). Long story short. The Patch was FAKE, UD must have gotten ahold of eBay and I did not have to pay for the auction.

I pulled this card from RETAIL (probably the best pull I have had from retail). #3/100.

I purchased this card on eBay in 2002, back before fake patch cards were abundant. Also before Logo Patch cards were everywhere. No idea if it is fake, it never crossed my mind. I resold it shortly after I purchased it on eBay.

THIS CARD RIGHT HERE IS FAKE!!! (Az Hakim). I made this one just to see if it would look real. I since have destroyed the card and thrown it away (Long ago).

Thanks
Mike
again, FAKE PATCHES SUCK!!!!
